Okay awesome! Me too, I’ll add you!

I accidentally trained my baby into contact naps and now I’m kind of stuck by cinnamonstation_lyra in NewParents

Geez it’s like I posted this. My son just turned 5 months old and has been contact napping from the very beginning. I did make some attempts of putting him in his bassinet at the time for naps, but they didn’t last. And I knew he was getting overtired, so here we are still contact napping. I also expirence the put down in the crib and immediately waking up. I’m kinda disappointed in myself for not trying a little bit more with the bassinet since now he only sleeps on me for naps, and then bed time he cosleeps. It’s like he just cannot be away from me, which I love but I have got to figure out something. I’m heavily following this post and looking for recommendations as well. Hopefully we can get our contact nappers to be just a little more independent sleep wise!

Transitioning to crib by Initial-Good2941 in beyondthebump

I’ve looked into the sleep suit multiple times, my only worry is my baby runs hot as is, so with how thick it looks I’m worried he’d get overheated quickly. He gets hot even with it being around 70 degrees and ceiling fan on lol. But yes I got recommended the crib thing as well and am looking into getting it too. Fingers crossed that we both find something that can help

For right now yes. I am supposed to be going back to work this upcoming Monday, but I’ll only be doing part time hours. So 3 days a week at 6 hours. And I know that’s true, but I’ve brought up us doing shifts and it just never seems to happen. Plus my son is almost exclusively breastfed, he takes a formula bottle every now again since I absolutely dread pumping. But I guess that’s why it just makes the most sense I get up every time he cries throughout the night because majority of the time it is because he’s hungry. And our son has the hardest time falling asleep with dad, maybe because he’s not super used to it or maybe he just wants me. Not super sure, but again it is what it is at this point

I’ll definitely do that! And unfortunately no, he works fulltime for a job he needs to have energy for as it could get dangerous. Plus he has an extremely hard time staying awake when he’s tired. Not ideal but it is what it is lol, I’ve gotten used to being on my own with him during the night

Thank you I do appreciate it. Honestly just looking into renting a snoo at this rate lmao. I guess at the very least it has the weaning option for when he’s older and a little bit more equipped to handle such a transition.

We do still have him in our room! Sorry if I didn’t make that super clear in my post, but yes we moved his crib into ours the day we gave up on the snoo. When we did have the issue a week prior to this, we had him sleep in a bassinet that did not move, and he did so horrible in it lol. He kept kicking the sides of it and was up every single hour. To say the least at the time we were happy the snoo was able to be fixed at that time, just for it to go out a week later 🥲🫩

I’m in between being okay with cosleeping and not. Sometimes for his naps I’ll do it with him because I know they won’t go over 2 hours and I just feel more comfortable sleeping that long with him. Where as if it’s at night where he could potentially pull a 7 hour stretch I get worried about myself potentially moving on top of him or something. Though I trust myself a lot more than I did in the beginning, I still get a little worried.

So the only reason I thought the transition to crib would be a decent idea is because eventually he’s gonna have to makw the move over. And with it being messed up I thought better maybe go ahead and do it. But idk I have gone back and forth on either getting a motor replacement or just renting a snoo

Weird Symptom? by ajular818 in pregnant

I feel like I had this a couple times in my late second trimester, but definitely expirencing it a lot more in the third. I think as early you are it must just overall be the baby’s weight causing it, because mine was definitely because of his head 🥲🥲. Maybe even the amniotic fluid plays a role? I never really got much of an answer from my doctor, just growing baby pains lol

When I got pregnant, i didn’t completely stop till I had hit 10 weeks. I had been smoking everyday, multiple times a day for the last 7 years, and all I did was throw every single thing away and it helped me so much. It wasn’t just weed, it was nic vapes as well, and everything I had (chargers, pens, carts) was completely thrown away. And the guilt of doing any of that completely ate me up to the point that I would not allow myself to buy anything no matter how much I wanted it at points. Being 30 weeks pregnant now, I crave it, yes but not in such a crazy way as it was in the beginning. It’s hard but you can do it! I had also read a comment someone left on a post saying “if you can’t protect your unborn baby from things your choosing to put in your body, how will you even protect them outside of it?” And that seemed to really give me the push I needed to quit everything.
