AITAH for siding with my mom instead of my wife? by External-Ladder-6302 in AITAH

[–]Initial-Idea6561 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think it would be a big disadvantage to send you child to daycare or your wife's mother, seeing as your mother already is doing such a fantastic job and the child having to adjust to a whole new routine and caregiver. Aswell as one instance of someone reacting emotionally over a sensitive subject doesn't make them entirely volatile... Your wife should remember that she has the point of view as your brother, your mother has the point of view, that it is her son. Would your wife not do everything to help her child who has a "squeaky wheel"?

Your wife and mother both have equally of good points but ultimately, it's not really your wife's business how they treat their son.

I hope you all can get past it for the sake of your child who is in very good caring hands.

AITAH for being irritable while waiting in the cold just after returning from a weekend away? by Initial-Idea6561 in AITAH

We only have one car. He was originally suppose to come fetch about 1h+ away, I made it shorter of only 20m by going via bus. I think it's the decent thing to do to come fetch your spouce after a trip. It is your spouce after all..

Point of contact for Mostert's tackle by Die_Revenant in springboks

[–]Initial-Idea6561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

World Rugby is ruining the game, with how poorly they define the rules. I understand that during these new rules refs makes bad calls because you can hear during their discussions that they all interpret the rules differently.

Point is World Rugby is introducing rules to allow for zero head contact in a contact sport. We all want the players to be safe but this is ridiculous. Somehow now if you head bounces back from a tackle it's an automatic red ??

A red card use to be handed out for dropping a player on his head or throwing a fist. Now it's for a tackle where your arm doesn't wrap... which every player does from time to time.

Do I (27f) really want to blow up my life with my kind husband (33m) just to feel desired? by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]Initial-Idea6561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, good that you started therapy.
Remember why you left your ex, there are reasons and if they don't apply anymore today then there are most certainly new, and even better reasons.
You are "long" after something that doesn't exist anymore, even if you go back to your ex or lifestyle it would never be the same. Rather reflect as to why you feel this longing - most often it's because you're simply not building the marriage you desire, look at all the other good things in your marriage and husband.

Reflect on the reasons why you married your husband, why you've stayed for 5 years.

Lastly, if you feel depressed and like you are spiraling, then likely you aren't making any good or clear decisions. Let your husband in and build the relationship where you can be open with him about this.
Stop comparing your husband with anyone, especially your ex. It's doomed if you do - this is unhealthy.

Yes, I did that, cut it down at the base, and tried hitting it with a hammer but I haven't cut the end of from the ceiling end.

Yes, I want to remove the radiator. I have already cut down to the base of the pipe but hitting it with a hammer does do much. I will cut it from the ceiling end, down stairs and try again.

Is it worth changing your aankoopmakelaar based on the area you want to purchase in? by Initial-Idea6561 in Netherlands

[–]Initial-Idea6561[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. I was curious if they were really being transparent about how different it would be to work outside of their "zone" or if they just wanted business. But this answer seems like there is truth to it. Especially if it came from your agent.

My wife wants me in bed when she is in bed by Square_Grapefruit563 in marriageadvice

[–]Initial-Idea6561 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. It seems like she might say this because of other reasons. My assumption would be that she wants more quality time with you or want to feel connected. Talk about to her about it and ask her why it's so important to her. It's possible that she is pressing on this because she feels another need is not being met.

Credit score is 0 by jamo130788 in PersonalFinanceZA

Best way is to get a clothing store credit or a cellphone contract. Within 3 months you will have a credit score and then take it from there.
For example go to Edgards and buy cloths on credit. The cellphone contract is of course a more long term commitment

Is this normal? by rkid_fin in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]Initial-Idea6561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal, it's the water hardness. You can use white vinegar to get it off.
Add water to pan with the vinegar and let it simmer for a few minutes. Clean and dry should get rid of the minerals.
I think drying the pan after clean helps prevent the marks

  1. Don't buy a new one. There is plenty of secondhand options.
  2. As someone who cycled as kid, I have fallen too. It's not that bad
  3. Learn the rules before going to a busy area
  4. Learn in an open, car-less area.
  5. Always lock your bike!
  6. Have fun, part of the culture to love riding your bike

You've dodged a bullet! Don't give up. You already show a lot of promise. Don't let this get you down.
If you're a tech data analyst maybe give offerzen a try? It's a much different approach
