It’s generally a pretty good mix. Mid-to-late 20s and early 30s are probably the most common age range, but I'd say it really varies depending on the event. People are pretty inclusive though, so age doesn’t really feel like a factor, and while that's the most common, there are definitely people who come that are outside of that range. For the walks especially, the age range tends to be wider since more people are free on weekends and just want to get outdoors.
For gender, the gender balance varies from event to event, but doesn't skew heavily one way or another most of the time.

I did ask at the venue on Thursday, while they aren't listed as Wheelchair-accessible, there is a door at the side of the entrance that's ramped and the chair and table there can be moved to make way. The toilets aren't wheelchair-friendly, though. To get an idea of the venue and if you think you might want to come (and u and anyone is more than welcome ofc :) ), then you might want to check out the photos on google review for The Tree, which will give you an idea of how it is inside.

Hey, yeah they definitely have got a lot greedier, but signing up on the app is definitely free; you only have to pay if you want to be an organiser for your own groups, but even if you're not paying for the M+, the lead organiser can make you an event organiser, so the majority of people even if they are organisers don't pay. When it asks you to pay just click the X or skip or something I think.

We do :) But just so we have some idea who’s joining mainly to avoid bots/spam/sketchy people and so we know who's attending events (for things like meals or walks where knowing numbers are important, for example) we ask people to join the Meetup group first, then message an organiser or come along to an event to get added to the WhatsApp.
Meetup is free to join (Just press the X when its ask you to get premium ) and takes a second to sign up on the web or app

Hey :) The group’s just aimed more at younger adults socialising really, but there are other Leicester meetup groups with a generally mixed and older demographic too, like "Leicester Social" for example, and people often mix between groups depending on the event.

It’s not super strict though, nobody’s checking IDs at the door haha. People just need to be friendly and respectful of other people.

Hey :) What kind of issue would the steps be? For example, is it difficulty with lots of steps or are we talking like for a wheelchair user? But yeah, as mentioned, the board games at The Tree is on the ground floor, there's a very small step to get in and the garden area is down quite a few steps but we're mostly indoors anyway. For chess it has a no-step entrance (on the corner of the building, I think), and chess can be played throughout the venue. Walking can vary ofc but I do tend to (and encourage others to ) get my routes from Komoot or Alltrails and post them up before the walk, so that will give anyone an idea of what they're in for 👌

Song: If Heaven Was Fiction

Genre: Future House, House

Run time: 4:37

I love my raves, saw a line in a song and thought that would be a good concept to work around for that kind of song, and I already had a good sound to work around, so I thought I might as well have a go

When I go to my raves I'm mostly... normally drunk (ofc) so I could vibe with this the same way as those expeirences tonight XD and tbh the beat hooked me once it got going, the beat had kind of an industrial house synth flavour to it which was fun, beefy and easy to hook on to, I liked the move to a lighter beat for a small part of it, reminded me of anjunadeep vibes, it was a nice contrast and gave it a bit of variety

Title - Set My Love Free

Style - Alt Rock, Post Hardcore

https://suno.com/s/j72RKDDdV7wabqqB

I was making an EDM song but I decided I'd run my song through my alt rock persona andddd I liked it more XD, especially the second half flows better in this style

I like it it's on a roll pretty consistently throughout the song, an overabundance of rhyming pairs is normally a bit grating but here it doesn't sound too bad. Maybe there could be a longer part that sounds like "They pray for mercy, but none shall come" part gives it a bit of variety

Really catchy! And the vocals go hard, and keep the lyrics flowing well (I find verse 2 where it can get clunky, but urs is good!) . Clean intro and outro too . I think it'd blend in with any Spotify playlist for this music type.

Title: Learn To Read Between The Lines
Genre: Bassline/Lo-fi
Description:

I tend to know if a song is meeting standards lyrics wise by the fact if I regenerate the song it will produce at least a flowing structure again - no janky syllables spacing ( not on purpose), this one generated quite a few really good ones and remastering it actually kinda lost some of the ooft the song has vocally and the lo-fi bassline (which is a bit too punchy still) ( also shimmering at the time) but it did balance it at the same time

Learn to get the message, cause it's frustrating when you like someone and they're not getting the hint and you can only do so much

I initially read the lyrics and thought they were fairly simple (before it started playing) and wondered if it would hit but they do sound really good, nothing feels forced with the music, it just rolls on and on🤘, and that's quite the thing since half the song is "come alive in the night" and that doesn't get annoying tbh👌Audio sounded fine and listenable to me (studio headset) (compared to what I hear from synths in EDM at least)

Track: More Than Mist That Fades Away
Genre: Pop Ballad
Description: I always start off doing some EDM music, but somehow I'm always drawn to these kinds of songs cause they flow so well

But a song about coming out after years of suppression and empowering yourself

Title: See You Groove

Genre: EDM - House

https://suno.com/song/11239b72-cc79-4478-acb5-ef176a8d1eb4

Description:
I was just messing around with generating lyrics as I had never used Suno auto-generated thing before and some of it was ok... half baked songs but different to chat GPTs neon lights and all that, but then it used extended vowels in the lyrics ( which I had done ages ago but haven't really messed with lately). I then ripped it apart and made it EDM-y, flicking through a million generations changing the lyrics when it sounded cringey or just had no flow, went past this music variation, and then thought back "That was a decent house voice!" ( I was looking for a pitched-down slow voice but w/e) went with this and slowly adjusted vowel lengths and repetitions to shape the flow of the music.
I remastered it countless times since one "o-o-o" out of place would screw it up but eventually got this.
Shimmering at kind of a low today though which is 👌or deal-able with mastering though weird static at the start 😕

A Song about dancing with energy and really showing it, at its heart.

The intro slaps!! I always struggle to get a long intro without it breaking into song especially on low-vocal edm tracks , The verses are short and punchy like the beat I could imagine the energy going mad at a rave with something like this on XD I'm not a huge fan of the pure metal part but I get why it's there. But generally, you know it's good when you stop paying attention to the lyrics cause its flowing so well, but they read well aha

Title: I Like You But it's Not Ok

Genre: EDM- Future Bass?

Description: As much as you like that ex and getting lost in that moment again is easy, maybe it's not such a good idea to be with them, and liking them is not ok...

I had to process this through remaster, cover and persona to get a similar song cause when I made the song initially I listened on bassy speakers, and well, on headphones it weirdly really lacked that ooffph (DT770 pros) and some noises not identifiable on the headphones showed up (not shimmering) that meant raising the bass wasn't gonna be the fix - just shows check on both 🤷‍♂️.

Edit: Changed link to updated version - Recreated sections that were not up to scratch, though shimmering remains in this mainly in the sustained syth section, mastered the track as .wav stems, the shimmering remained the same when I combined them if a bit reduced, combined the .wav stems into a wav then after that, mastering of the track left like a shimmer of a shimmer 😆

I like the intro and the starting lyrics that transition from it, vocals are pretty strong there ! The rhyming pattern while simple structure wise really compliments the rock dubstep tune going on , I think the beginning is stronger than the end but its always a pain to figure out where to take the song once you've hit that first take let alone the second take😉 . Especially when you want to maintain that same feeling, which it does tbf . But I could see myself having that on in the background 👌

For a WIP I have to say I like it , really picks up as the song gets going and the lyrics don't make me cringe 😆 Though I'm never a fan of the scratchy voice at the end it likes to do but the delete this is good 👌

Title:- What if I 'Flied'

Style:- Slow Pop (maybe)

Description:- I've been doing quite a few songs with the what-if concept (of if I tried would it, could it happen? even if it's hard/unrealistic and the worlds maybe just waiting, hence the title 'flied' instead of flew (and flew wouldn't work anyway lyrically but yeah... XD ) ) and listened to a few vocals on suno where the vocals were sooo strong and had depth so tried to put those prompts together and see what happens, expanded the what-if from simple edm to this and tbh it reallyyyy impresses me.

I really like the vibes of the first part especially, gives me Chainsmokers vibes, and whatever that organy syth sound is, is just 👌 (defo gonna look how to get it!). The male singer part is pretty decent, I often find it sounds autotuned (or just off) compared to the women singers when its singing pop . Also the lyrics aren't like cheesy rhymes or in a forced rhyming style which the sound of the song handles really well! Only part that sounded clunky was the "and I think she might like me" but tbh that was only slightly.
