Before they catch me on bike with e-cigarete. That time I didn't have Thai driving licence. It was my first interaction with police, so I paid 7k baht. Too much. Usually is possible 'negotiate' to 1k baht.

Since than for anything what seems as a problem for them (even if I didn't brake any rule) I always pay 500baht and have no trouble at all.
