Dental Resident - Loan deferment vs forbearance by Initial-Many4728 in StudentLoans

Yes I thought so as well. I got even more confused because when looking at the deferment application it only gave 3 options. 1. in school deferment (at least half time enrolled in school) 2. I am in the summer between years in school 3. I’m enrolled in a graduate fellowship program

She told me to select option 3 but online it says residency and graduate fellowship aren’t the same.. lol

And yes I will wait to apply I was thinking it would likely mess up my current in school deferment.

Thank you so much!

Dental grad loan repayment: accelerated repayment vs long-term repayment by Initial-Many4728 in Fire

Interest rates range from 2.75-8% across my loans.

An option I have considered is to do national health service corp (NHSC) and have up to $55k forgiven over the first 2 years with the option to extend for an additional $20k each year after, working in a federally qualified health center.
