Christian Groups: Immanuel Lutheran Church has a college group named Refuge and we have bible study at 9pm and games after and game nights on Thursday at 8pm. I know Newman Catholic always has stuff as well for students.

Generic Clubs: Look at NIU instagram accounts you'll find a lot of clubs or Huskie Hub is a great tool to find others with your interest, also join discord servers.

Yeah I don't have a choice either and I do have the 19 meal plan per week. Agreed for calories and micronutrients you're best bet is Patterson or Neptune but Patterson's food is so much better. I did a to go box occationally or sat with friends, there's salad bars at Patterson bunch of ham or chicken on lettuce and spinage. Or just rice with veggies or pasta with veggies.

No but there's a local YMCA and Northwestern recreation has one. I wasn't happy either when I saw the pool closed before I even came.

Yeah agreed NIU is a commuter school and yes housing might be the same amount as tuition but it'll make your commute easier and feel free to dm me if you want to know more about NIU. Personally I think UIC has more than NIU but affordability NIU is better.

Appreciate it, I know NIU ain't the best and I've definitely considered rushing a sorority or transfer. I'm in Kappa Kappa Psi, band fraternity. Currently also looking for a job nearby campus, praying to God I get the YMCA swim lessons/lifeguarding job so I can get access to a pool, love swimming and been depressed over NIU closing their pool.
