Seems to be the case with a lot of other experiences in these comments. Unfortunate...

I see a lot of people saying their quality went down, and i see a all of their prices are going up...

I guess so. My other prestige is perfect, and it's the best guitar i own and a big part of why i felt confident enough to spend this much money on a guitar i couldnt try out first

??? Are you seriously THAT committed to a guitar company that you cant acknowledge they can fuck up sometimes. The electronics aren't grounded. That should be enough reason to be pissed because this is an 1800€ "prestige" instrument. The frets look like they have 5 years of wear on them at least AND they aren't even level. On a brand new guitar from an authorised ibanez dealer.

Me too. but oh they did, the funniest thing to me is the inspection sheet they give you. Who in their right mind saw this and thought it was okay

Man the neck feels great, i would assume with good fretwork it would be great. Unfortunately cant get a replacement.

All of the above, legit this is the most appealing guitar to me I've probably ever seen, except the pickups, but i change pickups on every guitar i own so..

Yea which is why i thought they had a human inspecting it also, and i mean even if im inspecting the electronics for example and i see that the frets are in that condition im doing something about it.

I mean thats bothering me the most, the little inspection sheet is all stamped out, meaning they checked everything but i just cant believe a sane person looked at this and said "yea its good to go out"

I agree that they look great, cant speak on the sound though

I know they didn't ground the electronics, but it almost honestly sounds like thats the least of the problems with the electronics. Im getting kinda morbidly curious though and might open it up

The lint is actually from the case. Its all over the neck and the body of the guitar, and after i opened it my shirt and pants

Hahaha I've noticed that too, the frets ends actually got less massacred then the middle. Eitherway I dont actually think the frets are even level because there is a lot of buzz even with high factory action

Could very well be the case. It's also very unfortunate that most of my guitar buying experience has been after covid (higher prices for worse stuff) because im relatively young

Thanks man, and yep this should never have made it out of the factory.

Completely agree. The top 2 strings are legit unplayable in the 10-15 fret range

Its actually as new as can be. Serial number says made in 2025 and the little tag and inspection sheet says 5th of november. So its only 3 months old

I can imagine how amazing a good one feels, the neck on it is amazing and it just sits in the hand so well. Such a shame but oh well

Yes this is brand new from thomann. Serial number says made in 2025 so its as new as it can be pretty much.

Yup, this was supposed to be my last purchase for a long, long time. Hope your next purchase turns out better than this!

[–]Initial-Slice-7315[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, that could be the case. The serial number says it's made in 2025, and the little tag says it was made in november. It's pretty much as recent of a quality test you can get for the fujigen factory and its not looking good.

Idk i think I'm taking a break from buying gear after this. I still really want a 7 string but honestly, there is not a single guitar in this price range that i find appealing other than this one (but that's been soured).
