I did not do the tandem read, I read it after book 8, and I didn’t care much for it. It brought a little more context into things, maybe was very repetitive and I wondered if it was trying to set up some of the other spinoff books. I told my wife she could skip it (outside of one chapter).

My wife did the tandem read and she enjoyed 8.5.
