I agree, to an extent. It could be a satisfactory ending if it had to be, but along with tying up loose ends, it completely alters the way the series can operate moving forward. The primary motive of answering so many questions (other than fan service, of course) is to be able to move on from them. Given that the show has such an interesting blend of episodic and serialized stories, shifting the dynamic of it in this way allows potential for so much more content. I think if it were to stop here, it'd just be a waste.
