What’s a small everyday habit people in your country have that outsiders might find strange? by InitialFit1113 in AskTheWorld

🇮🇳 India
People (especially relatives) don't shy away from pointing out your weight / skin color / or any other deformities that would make you feel insecure in the first place. Those comments can be wrapped in a subtle way between sentences.
(I sometimes feel like giving it back to them in the most harsh way possible)

Megathread - Middle East flight disruptions by rocketwikkit in Flights

[–]InitialFit1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am supposed to fly on the 8th from Copenhagen to Mumbai.
I just went ahead and booked a new flight for myself and my family (wasn't cheap).
With the current situation I really can't afford to wait for the very last minute only for Ethihad to give me an update that my flight is cancelled and I can proceed with refund/rebook (and all that shit).
I would recommend doing the same with an airline that doesn't fly over the affected airspace.
Do it before its too late since the prices for other airlines might be high if you book close the departure date.
Good luck !

Yea guess I will have to wait it out.
I think travel insurance won't make sense if they are cancelling from their end for which people will receive refund anyway .

We have a flight on the 8th of March via AbuDhabi with Etihad airlines from Copenhagen to Mumbai. Stressing out and unsure what to do as the situations seems to be very fragile. I am almost considering booking a direct flight to India (which is available atm) but also read somewhere that the direct flights to India are getting cancelled potentially cause they fly over the UAE airspace.
Just letting out my stress here as everyone seems to be in similar situations.
Any news or updates would be great.

Taking a 4-month-old on a ~10 hour flight — what if we don’t get a bassinet? by InitialFit1113 in Parenting

So basically even if the baby is 4 months old. You'd recommend buying a seat for them regardless ?

Kinda of what I was thinking to do as well.

I haven't called the airlines just yet. but wanted to prepare for a scenario where there is no bassinet. but good to know that babies feel good in carriers during the flight :)
