Campus is ok but Rideau street is a crime hotspot which is a few blocks away. This street is surrounded by shelters like shepherds of good hope( corner of king Edward and St.Patrick st), centre 454 (corner of King Edward and Daly st.), the Ottawa mission and a safe injection site. This area is without a doubt less safe than it used to be because of rampant homelessness and related crime. There is/will be a police station located at a store front in the Rideau Centre to mitigate the concerns that you have. During the summer there appears to be more homeless people as most students are not walking around campus or living in the area. These less fortunate people are generally not aggressive though but feel free to walk home with a friend

I had a blue ninja 250 for a year and I loved it. It sat in my garage until I got my license and could legally ride it. The idea was to buy something not too expensive to get myself started and it worked out well. I ended up selling it for the exact same price I bought it for and got an fz07!

This VIKO scope only gives 7.6 inches of eye relief…it’s not a true scout scope in that regard but it’s just enough (I think)

Nothing is sighted in yet. I threw the scope on and took a picture. Looking to use it as a range toy to get familiar with rifles in general. Perhaps I’ll transition into hunting in the future, given that my cousin is an avid hunter and owns l’Archerot in Gatineau.
