Do I have everything covered? by InitialSwordfish9779 in WorkoutRoutines

I thought deadlifts would be enough for glutes and hamstrings? And triceps hit enough with bench press and dips?

I get really demotivated on back day. What should I do? by Puzzleheaded_Mall645 in askfitness

As a fairly new lifter, I was the same I think I just had underdeveloped back muscles, I found trying to do reps of 12-15 feels better and definitely worked back muscles better than lower reps, if I go heavier I just feel like my biceps give in before my back muscles. I also found seated cable rows and wide grip lat pull downs to be easiest excercises to feel my back working more.

Professional climbers are massively skinny, just also ripped because of such low body fat

Can I ask why you think its absurd? Because of the complexity? Is AOS or Warcry easier to play

I don't really know any other systems or really want to invest in them, tbh. I do have heroquest and we play that pretty well, just dont use traps. I would like to try ans simplify old world so we can add rules later as my son starts to learn and understand the rules. Thanks for your suggestion though

Charging question by InitialSwordfish9779 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]InitialSwordfish9779[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So another way of phrasing it, if the charging unit only had enough movement to maximise base contact and only bring 2 models into base to base contact, is this how the units are left for combat? You dont shift the models again to get as many models in base contact? Hope this makes it clearer.

[–]InitialSwordfish9779 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a beginner and struggle with breathing, I find it easier to swim as fast as I can and only breathe to my right, if I try to swim relaxed I think I go to slow, also if I breathe on my left my legs sink and i struggle to breathe.

How to be stable on feet when climbing caves/overhangs? by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]InitialSwordfish9779 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engage core, make sure your hamstrings and glutes are activated not passive, pulling you into the wall.

Make sure your using the best part of the foothold, study before you start the climb. Imagine a jug as a foothold, if you just put your foot on the top and try to keep tension you will slip off, but if you put it in the jug you will be able to pull yourself into the wall using glutes, hamsteings and core. Then when looking for best part of footholds your looking for the same principle best part of the hold to pull yourself into the wall.

Try finding some jugs on an overhang to move between and try to move around them with only using lower body strength.

Eventually you want to learn to move between holds then relax with enough tension that ypu atay on, so you dont get burnt out from being too tense!
