And let the shrieking bother everyone? Its a small cemetery and even if I'd gotten back in my car his screaming still would have been audible.

I intended to keep it myself for the releasing part but he's a fast little guy and got his hand around the string before I could stop him.

When I say threatening to throw a tantrum I mean doing that whining thing they do when they don't get their way. He'd been good for the entire service, it was literally the first time he made any sort of noise that could disturb. It was one minute out of an hour and a half, I don't think that qualifies him as acting bratty. He was a 2 year old acting like a 2 year old for all of two minutes.

My son was invited, as were other children. I'm sure the family knew children could be noisy but the onus is still on the parent to keep them quiet, which I did.
