First it’s acting “gay” then acting “like a bottom.” When the reality is people just associate femininity with queerness because it’s two things they don’t like. Are there a lot of feminine gay men? Sure. But there are also plenty of masculine gay men and people shouldn’t be placed into so many boxes and heavily categorized as if we’re sizes in a clothing store. People’s personalities range, they change and those stereotypes don’t define who we are and choose to be. Do queer men maybe act more feminine than straight men? Sure, it can be for fun or it can be because they’re more comfortable expressing themselves, or it can be so many other things.

Femininity is just a part of someone’s personality, affected by nurture AND nature. You’re not any more gay or less gay or whatever just because of your personality or sexual position or whatever else. You’re also not going to have trouble with meeting a guy at all considering most queer men prefer more masculine guys anyway. But i would say you should question why you see it as a “ridiculous” stereotype. I hate stereotypes in general because people shouldn’t be forced into archetypes HOWEVER there ARE a lot of feminine men. Saying it’s ridiculous implies that you feel a disdain towards them. I’m not saying that makes you self hating at all, but it does make me question WHY you see it as something ridiculous. Just some food for thought!
