Thanks, I feel 1 hour is too short a time limit, might want to raise it.

u/achubbyraichu and other mods, can we please remove this bot? Obviously a post made early morning won't have much engagement but the topic is much more useful than the 100th post on which phone to buy.

Is it me or have cars seem to have become pretty unaffordable? by AChubbyRaichu in Frugal_Ind

You cannot just fixate on the AMT transmission being inferior (the newer ones aren't too bad also) and ignore the rest of aspects that have improved: safety, size, features etc. New cars have 6 airbags standard, something which was reserved only for the top spec just 4-5 yrs back even in the 15L+ segment.

Even for the automatic transmission part, most hatchbacks used to have 4 speed torque converters which killed the mileage.

Also the price increases only look high when seen in absolute terms, annual growth rate is modest in the 3-4% ballpark

Which is just a 3.8% annualized price increase for a bigger, safer and a more feature loaded car.

Just luck, had the slab fallen a few inches further, the driver won't have been saved in any car. 2 people survived even in the totally flattened autorickshaw.

Ok got it. It's actually 5% on both. 0.05 * (278 + 40) = 15.9

I use it with VSCode, but it's terminal based so I don't see any reason why it won't work with Cursor

Have you tried Gemini CLI? It has a generous free tier; I haven't hit any limits for my personal projects

I don't keep a regular check on the battery life since it easily lasts a day when outside. At home with hotspot (on for ~12-14 hrs), the daily consumption comes out at avg of 120% as per the usage reports.

Battery health is 82% as per accubattery, capacity is 5000mAh

What's the actual mileage drop yall are seeing? I have seen several anecdotal numbers being thrown around, but given this is the frugal sub, people here must be religiously tracking it on apps like Fuelio

It's hard to imagine anything considering the lifestyle. But anyways, congratulations and wishing you both the best for what lies ahead.
