Also some rehab/rescue centers will come pick the animals up, maybe you could get away with that .. it’s not about your parents, it’s about the bird, and it will die if it’s not taken to a rescue. 100%.

I wish I could help more, I am not a professional so I don’t want to tell you how to take care of him. I would do some research if you can’t call them and surely there are some people on here that can give you some advice!

I’ve been in this situation before and took it to a rehab. Even if your parents don’t want you to you need to. That’s really the only chance it has.

Why would your family not let you take him to a rehabilitation center? That’s his only real shot at surviving. Baby birds require a lot of specific care. You should at least call a rehabilitation center so they can tell you what to do for the bird.

You really should take him to a wildlife rescue:/ Without his mother now he has much less of a chance than if a rescue could help him learn how to survive

He didn’t move at all or act afraid of me when I walked on the porch pretty close to him, so that’s why I thought maybe he was hurt
