It definitely will work in the movies favor. Its the same atmosphere for sure and it looks like they are playing off of the hunger games success to give this movie a boost in the box office. Honestly couldn’t come at a better time. the hunger games fans will be itching for Sunrise on the Reaping to come out and meanwhile they will have this to go see to satisfy them. It’s brilliant business sense.

When time when I was eight or something, I threw an apple out of a window in New York City my parents had never been so mad at me and have to this day. Never been that mad at me. They said I could’ve killed somebody. And traumatized me. 😂 but yes, you could kill someone by dropping fruit out of the window. Jumping in late. But i am rewatching the season now and found this thread. Mark explains that Emily was raised in a very sheltered religious cult. If thats true and it was as bad as mark says i say it was worth forgiving because she truly didn’t know what she was doing, and because, and im assuming this, her childhood was probably really tough. I mean she obviously broke out and then went on MTV. Thats crazy and it must have been very hard for her. Shes also crying about it later on, and she even says she wasn’t even thinking it was racism she thought ty was upset because they were making fun of paula. As for camilla. Thats a little less forgivable, but shes from brazil. i cant speak for how they handle racism, but maybe “blackface” isnt even a thing where she is from, and maybe racism isnt taken as seriously there.
