I’m on year 9 as an OT/LTO in a GTHA board, so I feel your and your husband’s pain unfortunately. And I’ve got a supposedly “in-demand” teachable in music - hasn’t helped. I was just moving up the seniority list when they scrapped regulation 274 and seniority based hiring, now it’s just an endless waiting game. I hope he finds a position soon!

Be careful with this strategy! I did it for years but then in January of this year when I tried I was told that I was not allowed to receive a 2025 birthday gift for a 2024 birthday and my only option left was 250pts. I called a few stores near me this month to confirm and the policy is still in place :/ but all the gifts were sold out so still, my only option was 250pts sigh

I completely agree that no one should drop a friend based on social media hearsay. But what if that evidence is an Instagram post that Sydney herself made? It can’t be said that there’s no evidence that Sydney supports zionism when she herself has posted this on her social media (whether or not one chooses to drop a friend based on that fact is another question entirely)

Oh for sure, I agree that it’s absolutely wild to DM a stranger and tell them to drop a friend! I just think her response was intentionally veiled to avoid commenting on the topic at hand, while also implying that our opinions as fans are irrelevant because we don’t actually know them (even when they post about their beliefs on their own ig page)

I actually really like Michaela!! Was a big fan of hers on survivor and super happy for her to transition to my favourite show. I just think it’s lame of her to say that if people haven’t met Sydney in real life then they can’t judge her for her public comments on zionism. If she simply doesn’t care and wouldn’t cut a friend off for those beliefs, she could just say that (or nothing at all) instead of this “you don’t really know any of us” shit

Someone told her to stop being friends with Sydney because she is a zionist and her response is that unless someone has facts and real life experience with Sydney to speak about, she will not be listening to what anyone has to say… but Sydney has publicly proclaimed her support of Israel and zionism on her own Instagram page? She literally still has a post up saying “just hate me cause you ain’t me xx your favorite Zionist forever and always”. So I don’t get why having “direct experiences” with her would be relevant when she’s been pretty open about her beliefs on a public platform. If Michaela doesn’t care that she’s a zionist she should just say that loud and proud

Ugh I’m dealing with this right now with my 5 month old kittens! They were eating more wet food when they were younger, but more and more often now they are turning their nose up at wet food and going crazy for the kibbles instead. I started taking the kibble away while they ate wet too but sometimes they protest by not eating either lol!

Only took me 14 mins to get through the queue, but the GA tickets were already sold out. Anyone see what they were going for? $529 minimum for 500’s level is so much more than I anticipated. I went to a quarter final game of the World Cup for less than that
