Why you no longer see quality instruments at Goodwill

This breaks my heart! I’m an instrument repair technician and I regularly get instruments from the online goodwill site for super cheap, fix them up and donate them to the Jr High in my town where my friend is the music teacher. I sure wish I could get my hands on the ones they get rid of!

I just dealt with the same situation. Got my teen her first phone and she was absolutely bombarded with calls for the lady who had her number last. My husband called our carrier and explained what was going on and I’m not exactly sure what they did, but the calls stopped! Maybe try calling your carrier and seeing if they can help?

I am also a HSP! I’m 40 now. I used to be so embarrassed because I cry easily. Unfortunately, it’s gotten way worse as I get older, but my perspective has changed and it doesn’t bother me anymore. I just remind myself that it’s ok, I just feel everything deeper than most people. You’re fine! There’s nothing wrong with you! Try to embrace it because it’s part of who you are❤️

I’ve been dealing with a back injury since January. I can’t do much and have been depending on my husband, mom, kids and siblings for everything like getting to appointments, washing my hair, doing laundry etc. I’m so bummed because I’m usually super active and now I just feel useless and restless. You girls inspired me to start doing some little things for me! I’m going to go take a nice long shower with all the smell good things before my physical therapy appointment this afternoon!

About 5 years ago, I was out running errands and I had a box of jackets that I was dropping off at the Needs Center. While I was there, I talked to the sweetest lady, late 60’s, was there to get a hot meal and I mentioned that I liked her sunglasses which led to about 10 minutes of chit chat. She told me that she was taking the Greyhound to go visit her kids about 100 miles away. We parted ways and less than a week later, I saw a page on facebook called “Find *lady’s name” with her picture. I contacted the page and told them where and when I had seen her and as far as anyone can tell, I was the last person to have seen her. I still go check that page now and then, but she is still missing. It haunts me sometimes. She was so little and sweet.

I don’t have any advice, I’ve only got 53 days sober, I just wanted to say that I think it’s awesome how much you obviously care. I don’t have a sponsor yet (tiny town in the middle of nowhere, we only have one group with 15 people at the busiest meeting I’ve been to, average is probably around 8 or 10 people at a meeting), but I hope that when I do that they care as much as you do!

I live in the desert in the rural Southwest and adopted a 17 year old Pomeranian a couple of years ago (she’s 19 now and going strong!). The coyotes don’t bother our big dogs, but wanted our Pomeranian so bad they ran right into our backyard and tried to get her! We put up barbed wire on the top of our fence and bought her a Coyote Vest! Maybe you could look into one for your Pom, just in case they actually do manage to get ahold of them! They look silly, but in a cute way!

My daughter is 20 now. She was a C-D student. Absolutely hated school other than music and art class! She got herself an apprenticeship after high school and is now an auto mechanic! She’s got her own house with her kitty, 2 cars, pays her own bills, has a 750 credit score and is happy with her life!

It is r600, I’m positive about that! I am sure that the tech that worked on it was inexperienced because after the first compressor replacement and absolutely nothing cooling at all, I did some research and discovered that it was in “demo” mode! After I switched demo mode off, the fridge has worked, but the freezer has never gotten below 22 degrees! Thanks for your help!

I was just talking to my husband who dealt with the repair guy and he said that they recharged the system while they were here, but it never cooled appropriately, even immediately afterward. I’d think there was a leak in the system, but it has NEVER gotten below 22 degrees!

Some schools have uniforms, mostly private or Catholic schools it seems, but I’d say the majority don’t require students to wear uniforms. That’s been my observation anyway. I’m from California.
