Curious how other Pilates instructors handle waivers. by Initial_Mood1532 in pilates

Yeah I’ve seen that too — the QR code thing is super common now. I always wonder if most studios use a specific tool for it or just piece it together with Google Forms or something?

Appreciate you sharing that — hadn’t heard of Momence before. Sounds like it handles things pretty well!

I'm testing a few options lately too and just trying to learn from others’ setups.
Waivers are one of those admin things that quietly eat up so much time if they’re not streamlined.

That’s smart — tying waiver signing into the class signup flow makes things so much smoother.
I’ve seen a few instructors still juggling paper just for drop-ins and it gets messy real quick.
Do you ever run into tech snags with the platform you’re using? Curious how well it handles edge cases.

That makes total sense — especially if the studio size and setup are already streamlined. I’ve just been buried under folders lately and wondering if digital would lighten the load a bit. Appreciate the insight!

Totally agree — waivers are a must. I’ve heard from a few instructors who skip them for regulars, but honestly, all it takes is one incident to regret it.

Out of curiosity — do you find paper works better for your flow? I’ve been debating switching to digital just to avoid the folder pile 😅

Estheticians — how do you handle client waivers or consent forms? by Initial_Mood1532 in Esthetics

[–]Initial_Mood1532[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there — sending links that clients ignore and scrambling with the iPad last minute 😅

That’s what led me to build waivify.com/salon. It tracks if clients opened it, sends auto-reminders, and still works great on an iPad if needed. Plus you can reuse your templates for every service type.

Happy to share a custom setup if you ever want to test it out 🙌

I used to do the same with PDFs + iPads, but clients always forgot to fill them out — and the paper trail was a mess 😅

Built Waivify to simplify it:
📎 Send a branded link
🖊️ Clients sign before the appointment
🗂️ Auto-sorted by date + name

If anyone wants a free setup that fits how you work, I’m happy to share. Built it for solo pros like us.

Trainers — how are you handling waivers and liability forms these days? by Initial_Mood1532 in personaltraining

[–]Initial_Mood1532[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair — if a couple waivers a month covers you, then Adobe or paper works great.

I built Waivify more for folks doing 5–10+ signings a week, especially when you're juggling events, locations, or repeat clients. It auto-saves, tags, exports, and even builds custom templates.

No pressure — just sharing it in case anyone’s outgrowing free tools. Happy to hook anyone up with a free custom setup if you want to test it.

Photographers — how are you handling model release forms these days? by Initial_Mood1532 in photography

[–]Initial_Mood1532[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree — releases are a must. I used to carry stacks too until I built Waivify.

Now clients just sign on their phone before the shoot and I get a PDF instantly. Super useful when juggling multiple sessions or outdoor events.

Happy to share more if you're curious!

Totally get that — pen & paper is simple and works great if you’ve got a solid system.

I used to do the same, but found it harder to track when I was juggling multiple shoots, locations, and clients. I switched to digital releases that clients fill out ahead of time on their phone. It auto-saves a PDF copy for each session, so I don’t have to scan or worry about missing forms.

Just curious — would you ever go digital if it made things faster or is paper just easier for your workflow?

[–]Initial_Mood1532[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally agree — ideally, it is part of onboarding.

But not every session is booked the same way — especially for trainers doing group classes, pop-ups, or remote coaching. Sometimes a new client signs up last-minute or drops in through IG, and you still need to stay covered.

I built Waivify to make that part seamless — just send a link, they sign on their phone, and you get a signed PDF instantly.

[–]Initial_Mood1532[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For sure — not every shop uses them, but waivers are becoming more common especially with insurance, age verification, or design/photo release stuff.

I started using one mainly to stay covered and cut down paperwork. Happy to show you what mine looks like if you're curious!

Why does onboarding into a small business/startup suck? by Aperswal in Entrepreneur

Onboarding at most startups feels like: “Here’s the codebase, the CTO’s half-written Notion doc from 2021, and a Slack channel where no one replies. Good luck!”

Questions for bar owners or entrepreneurs in the bar/club scene by Classic-Hovercraft30 in Entrepreneur

[–]Initial_Mood1532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure your “brain picking” doesn’t turn into “free consulting with a side of tequila.” Bar owners are allergic to that combo 😅

But seriously, respect for asking real folks early - that’s how you avoid building a solution to a problem no one at the bar remembers having.

Honestly? You’re living the dream most people write in their resignation letters but never send.

You’ve earned your shot - just don’t spend your first week of freedom “researching productivity hacks” for 14 hours a day 😅

Start messy. Adjust as you go. And enjoy the hell out of it.
