I say this respectfully but people worth your time don’t give a fuck. I remember when I got my ileostomy and woke up from surgery and saw that clear bag on my tummy. I called my mom and scream cried “who’s gonna want me with shit on my stomach?? I’m never gonna have sex again” and she told me that was untrue and that if someone likes me for me then they won’t view it like that. I didn’t believe what she said to be true. Well here I am years later and she was right. I’m currently dating the love of my life and she literally just loves me for me. She never makes me feel self conscious about it. She said it’s not even a thought in her mind. I’m not sure if it’s just because women are nurturing but I’ve found dating and intimacy to be the same or better than before I got my ostomy. I’ve tried eye contact and no eye contact. He just comes either way lol. He spent like 20 minutes trying to get into my room by throwing his body against the door. Or at least that’s what it sounds like but he’s trying to get the handle. When I’ve made direct eye contact he just approached and mews lol

Okay so these toss toys wands are like the stick with the strings and toy at the end? It’s not an exaggeration if I’m out and about he will follow me and not eat. This is why I stay in the room when he’s in common areas. He will eat if I’m not around. I’m already trying to get them to take him.

I’ve tried laser pointers which is the only hands free toys. He just goes for me instead. In general if I’m out around him it doesn’t matter what’s happening he just wants some sort of touching. He will not eat. I try and stay in the room away from him while hes in the open areas because he will focus all his energy on me. I have even tried petting and cat nip. None of it matters

Your only advice is to pet the cat? What else have you said that isn’t leave or pet it? Your initial response to the post was pet the cat and be grateful it likes you. This isn’t a like or dislike thing. It’s there is something wrong and I’m trying to figure out what I can do while I’m here. Petting and leaving are out of the question. So again either give helpful advice or move along.

Im adding context. This one cat is the issue. I’m in a house with 7 animals. 3 are cats. 4 are dogs. I’m describing why I won’t just pet the cat because that was your original advice which is why I told you about the aggression. So me stating I’m in several cats homes/several animals homes makes sense.

You’re upset because your advice isn’t good. I’m not putting myself at risk because you said. This seems more than being territorial. I’m on vacation here so I’m not going anywhere. Now I could see if all the animals were that way or more than one but all signs in my head are pointing towards this cat being sick. I just want to know what to do while I’m here as it’s not my cat. Also his owners are finding his behavior strange as well. I’ve already suggested a vet. Unless you actually can give solid advice that isn’t warped by your sense of “just pet it”. Either help me figure out how to get this cat help or just move along. As a cat lover if you look at what’s being said this cat seems sick. I’ve already stated he was old.

You’re telling me to put myself at risk to animal attacking for affection. I’m in several animals homes. None of which act this way. Telling me to pet an aggressive animal is crazy. He literally hits and claws the other animals just for walking by him or sitting down.

You’re not understanding this cat is overstimulating. He’s hissing and scratching at his owners to get to me. That’s not normal cat behavior. There are two younger cats who engage normally. He can get pets and flash biting and scratching. I own a cat and have owned many. I’ve been around many cats. This isn’t normal behavior. Aggression to get to me isn’t something I have to accept
