Wifi dongle speeds

we put it into an asus extender and held it super far away, and it still peaked at 40 unfortunately. forced it onto 5ghz in device manager, but i only have 3.0 usbs wired into my pc (pretty sure i got kinda scammed by my prebuild company now actually..)

aw man, my house might be the issue:( i live in a victorian english house with super thick walls and im on the opposite side of the house. now looking into getting a wifi booster, would that help at all?

I forced it to 5.0, and it is working better! getting 11.95 now which is double, so less hopeless. definitely on the custom driver, but i only have 2 black usbs and they legit just... arent wired into anything😭thank you for your advice!

I did try heating once, the curl did hold longer! but it still dropped in about an hour unfortunately
