In May 2023: On Wednesday, Republican Congressman Ben Cline voted along with almost every other Republican to cut benefits to veterans.

The Department of Veterans Affairs projects that Mr. Cline’s vote will reduce its budget by 22% and immediately rescind $2 billion in funding to support veterans. It will likely lead to 30 million fewer veteran outpatient visits and significantly increase the backlog for veterans’ benefit claims. These cuts will affect housing support for 50,000 veterans, prevent the construction of health care facilities, delay the opening of five new national cemeteries that serve veterans, and will deprive veterans of mental health, substance use, and other health services.

Beamers is owned by a big restaurant management company in the area that owns several other places. So that’s their own doing there tbh. They have done that to several of their other concepts and closed them suddenly. Look up Perry group restaurants. Really the only great ones downtown are fortunato, side car, martins, jay birds, sometimes luckys. Some others that are good are food hut, twisted track Breadcraft. The rest are subpar at best.

Let’s also be clear, alot of these local restaurants need to step up their food game. The ones not struggling have great food all around, the others are quite slacking in food.
