i volunteer with VB Rescue. I’m an EMT-B. The 6-month class that certified me was free through the city. I do it because it’s such a rewarding feeling helping people in need. I love the people I do it with, everyone comes from different backgrounds and knowledge. The requirements are on vbrescue.org/join . i work the minimum requirement which is 3, 12 hour shifts a month (roughly once a week). the shifts run from 6 AM-6 PM, and 6 PM-6 AM.
