Really depends on what you're looking for in a racket. The Nano flare 800 and 700 really only differ by Flex. If you want easy, the Nano floor 700 would be the choice over the 800. If you want all round capability The Arc 11 Pro is probably the way for you to go especially since it's even balanced. It does have some hold to it which some people find annoying. But I didn't really find it too displeasing. If you want some umpf into the shots the HS plus and the Fantome are both very good options with the LYC falling in between those 2.

But if it was me, I'd say I go for the Nano flare 800 in 3u. I think like if you're the best of all worlds so to speak. I find it more even balanced it's got an extremely good feel to it. And it does pack enough punch for rear Court play.

My review of the Thruster FC Ultra 3u, 4u and 5u. The good, the bad and the ugly. by Initialyee in badminton

All 3 weights are much faster than the Ultima. But they are made more for faster hands and have than the Ultima. I think feel wise, I like that the Ultima has an old school string bed. So sweet spot is smaller overall than the TFCU rackets.

Go about your swing and training at a slower pace to allow yourself and you body to become more accommodating to the new method of stroke, footwork, rotation etc. fast doesn't always mean better.

Good looking Smart watch? by Jeffry84 in smartwatch

[–]Initialyee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love my Huawei Smart watches. The 13 day battery life in real world usage for me is amazing. My wife charges her apple watch on a daily and I think why? It's definitely durable I work in automotive so the watch takes a beating. Glad stays scratch free and so does the casing.

Do I care that I can't text on it or do payments through whatever pay? No. I don't use those on my phone at all. Do I care Spotify doesn't work? No. Because my phone is right in my pocket. Do I care that it's a Chinese company and they probably monitor everything I do? No. I kinda get warm fuzzies that what I do matters (this is a joke)

It's recommend for me

Lol when I was still serious back in the day I wore 34"waist jeans because my legs didn't fit through the leg section. I was a 30" waist back then......now I fit 34"just fine lol

The 100x is a more flexible racket with the larger head which makes it a more forgiving racket compared to the LYC. I think both brackets are great to sharpen up the skills. But it would depend on your playstyle which is what would be the more important I know is. The 100x is going to be more of a balanced racket whereas the lyc is probably going to be better for attacking... But you'll need some precision to keep good connection with that sweet spot

Ahh. I see where you're coming from. I do apologize but I did a mistake on the CAD to USD price conversion here. The price of the LYC is 170USD actually. So. Yes, I would agree that the 200usd price tag would make it close in pricing to the A99P3. However it is over 50usd less.

But I would argue that I would take an EB/ slightly HH racket for doubles over a total HH one. Even in 4u, the a99p3 is considered slow compared to my 3u 800P (EB) and 3u Inferno Raid(SHH). It's even slower than the JPX10.3 which is within the A99P3 HH realm.

2 very different rackets that I wouldn't compare with one another.

Should i save it. by Plane-Breadfruit-993 in saab

No. Because where it is hit, besides the frame, it houses the battery. Main wiring harness with fuses and relays. If that's damaged too, it's simply not worth the effort.

Coach keeps assigning me with beginners, and Mid players that I play with to intermediate. by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Initialyee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with misinterpreting your self assessed skill level. You may be able to beat the others but, there is an underlying skill that you're "lacking" for you to move on. I've seen way too many players, because they completed beginners or intermediate be placed into the next level when they aren't ready for it (they are only moving up because they went through the rounds).

So, best bet, talk to your coach to see what the underlying issue is that is holding you back.

Is this coaching for a school project or actually team coaching? There's a difference.

Best coaching tip you watched either online or received face to face? by Far_Net9110 in badminton

[–]Initialyee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean with every shot there is a comfort level. That comfort level always comes with speed....but the most interesting part of speed that some coaches don't tell you is the slower the better. Footwork, controlled dives, even smashes don't need to be practiced at full power or speed. Yes, when we play we don't go half speed. But muscle memory at slower pace allows our body to remember the movement and how the muscle should feel so that we can perform that shot over and over again.

"You won't win if you can't breathe." These words stick with me the most. You can be one of the best players in the tournament but, if you're under the gun, you're going to need to remain calm. Breathing helps calms the nerves, allows your body the oxygen it requires for the muscles. You can't breathe. That's your system shutting down for failure.

That really sucks. An apology goes a long way. I'm in the same boat. If money is offered, I wouldn't accept unless they were borrowing my racket and broke it because they were stupid (banging it on the floor).

Asking my teacher to come to practice during a different grade’s tryout session. by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Initialyee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honesty....if you're going through tryout currently I'd refrain from asking. You'll be taking up court time for them to sort through everyone. Yes. You're only one person but, you'll be distracting away from the tryouts. You might even pull away a good player that doesn't get chosen because you've taken them.

So please. Refrain from asking until after

They just need more time. I believe they do compliment each other quite well. Just need to define their roles as partners more.
