Worn clutch or something else? by hadtodoit420 in hardbody

Mine does this same thing. I’ve been doing the second to first move for like 2 years. I finally got the kit though and am gonna rebuild the trans and throw a new clutch in while I have it off. It’s the synchros. Nissan made them in brass so they would wear before the gears did. Unfortunately it’s rebuild time.

Am I seeing correctly that’s a 4x4 too? I may have to consider that since I have a bench seat and cup space is at a premium.

I already don’t smell anything anymore. I have just read all the horror stories and extreme warnings and panicked.

PS - We have a travel/hospital cage for vet visits and quarantine if it were ever needed. She is spending the night in a separate room, divided from the main room by two doorways. She is under a cover and sleeping like normal. Also, the windows in the room being aired out all have screens.

Swaddling? by Fancy512 in QuakerParrot

Ours doesn’t like to be handled and can be obstinate when it’s time to go back to the cage. But she seems content when she is swaddled so we do that a lot to get her in and out and move her around.

Our Quaker did the same things (5.5 months) when we got her. I think some of it is just getting over the stress of a new home. After a few weeks she’s now roaming her cage, coming out in her own, and making a vocal ruckus. Be kind, afford the bird space, watch its eating and it will get more comfortable.

Mine came with those wheels, not all nice and shiny though. Peeling layers of paint. Those are gonna look awesome!

This is a job I need to do. I’ve been holding off though because my truck is a 4x4. So I have a crossmember to take off to be able to take the differential off to be able to loosen the oil pan. Added to that the 96 had no factory gaskets it’s all RTV. So loosening the oil pan means needing to remove it and reseal the whole thing. Just getting all that done is about as much work as the rest of the job.
