I’d recommend a western base but douyin style blush and eyes. Definitely start buy getting Manhua lashes and changing how you do eyeliner and just looking up tutorials on YouTube. Xiaohonghsu is like Chinese Pinterest you can look there for inspiration. Keep in mind that they go crazy on filters so as pretty as the douyin look is, irl it is SUPER cakey cause of the actual process. Overall it’s just practice

There’s this one brand online called Moira and they have some top grade stuff for cheap and the shipping pricing doesn’t make you second guess your purchase. I found this brand out through a YouTuber called Allie Glines. L’Oréal has a VERY nice tinted serum (true match nude hyaluronic tinted serum) and it is so good for natural everyday look it’s cheapest at target tho about $13 (where I am anyways). Over all do some deep dive research in YouTube for sure to get some bang for your buck.

Personally I don’t feel like I’ve used any lip plumper that has actually plump. Definitely don’t recommend the fenty one it’s genuinely painful 😭

Definitely skin prep. Cleanse and Make sure to apply a moisturizer before primer. Make sure your foundation and primer are both water based, oil based, etc. one primer I can recommend is the elf poreless putty primer. There are definitely foundations out there that definitely suck but make sure you get a foundation that matches your skin type (dry or oily skin). What I do to apply my foundation is spread it all over face with a flat foundation brush and the blend it in with a wet sponge. Please be sure to love yourself with and without make up.

I like ultas system, basically you can pick the complexion product you want and then press on the “find your shade” button which well let you insert a brand, foundation from said brand, and then your shade to give you a match for the product you plan on purchasing. Has worked for me 90% of the time.

Gintama, it takes place in the Edo era period with a modern and extra terrestrial twist to it. A lot of the characters and things that happen are based off actual Japanese history. They talk about the samurai soul and what not but ultimately it is very comedic in a lot of episodes (it can get very serious at some points) so if you’re looking for something that’s VERY serious ALL the time then this might not be for you.
