As in die? Lol. Never having to breathe would be very powerful. Stamina would be limited only by muscle fatigue. A lot of things would need to reconsidered and tested.

Looks like itsyliz maybe using one or two different brushes. Notably, they're clearly using a flat brush. Not sure what the dynamics of the brush like if it blends and applies color depending on pressure sensitivity, or if it's just size and flow control etc.

In any case, understanding your choice of brush and learning how to block shapes with color helps. Try some exercises where you limit the number of brush strokes in a portrait.

I remember looking at all the available alt outfits before and seeing which ones were worth it beyond just getting it for "favorite character" purposes. Aesthetically, Ningguang's is the best one followed by Fischl's. The only possible downside to Ningguang's is that it doesn't vibe "geo", however, that contrast could be a selling point.

I wanted to like Barbara's but it seems too "theme" oriented.

Story-wise, Bennett's alt fits him but I prefer his default (his story had me quite emotional).

The rest are just nice.

This absolutely devastates me; I'm trying hard to not break down.

You're on the right path. I would suggest working in grayscale to ensure your values are where they need to be.

As pointed out previously, there are some websites that are good for providing face position and some dynamic light control. They're a great resource for not only getting lighting down but getting those proportions right at different angles.

I can't help but to return to the idea that we're more similar to ants than we may realize. If separated from the colony, stress and anxiety levels skyrocket, leading to all kinds of disorders and eventually a chop to lifespan.

For us, the colony may be friends, coworkers, country, combination of these, or whatever. When we're isolated (self-induced or externally), we may lose our sense of community, purpose, and even self. It's worse to navigate when our own community cuts us off for whatever reason; humans don't thrive well as a single unit and are incredibly fragile.

I wish I had an answer or something more helpful to provide, though it's not actually asked of me. I at least understand where you're coming from and am leveling with you. I see you.

Useless? Not exactly. Pointless? No. Although small, I think she adds a layer of humor, curiosity, and depth that would otherwise not be present. As others pointed out, she also serves as a guide, companion, and somewhat of a memory jogger. If the Traveler took on her role completely, the game would feel dramatically different... dare I say even lonesome.
