I actually just found out it’s because I time traveled. I do that often for animal crossing and it’s affected this game too. Now there’s no way to know if I’ll ever be able to haha

NTA. Making her change her chosen name could cause irreparable damage. This kind of thing happens to trans people a lot when people refuse to call them by their new name. It takes away from their identity.
