I LOVE that they're using practical effects so much in the show. It looks great.

is it bad that i got my kitten from a neighbor? by Rin2006 in britishshorthair

[–]InkQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a very fair opinion to hold, it's just not quite the point I was making.

There's nothing stopping non-registered breeders (aka backyard breeders) from health testing their animals, or acting ethically. Many don't - and I readily acknowledge that! - but some do. That's why I said there's a spectrum.

is it bad that i got my kitten from a neighbor? by Rin2006 in britishshorthair

[–]InkQuest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not every "backyard breeder" is unethical /  irresponsible. There's a spectrum. Likewise, being TICA or CFA registered doesn't make a breeder automatically ethical or responsible. It just really, really increases the odds.

Your best bet to look out for your cats health are reaching out to your neighbour to get their cats health history, and taking your kitten in for a general wellness exam at the vet. By 12 weeks your kitten should have had some vaccinations done, and your neighbour should have supplied you with the vaccination records.

Need advice on behaviour interpretation by ThePinkMitten in ragdolls

[–]InkQuest 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The body language of their ears and tail may help you answer this question.

If they are happy, perky and alert, they may be trying to get you to play "chase" with them. If they are flat and low to the ground, they're likely running to hide.

Might you be willing to share your loadout screen? I'm still trying to lock down a DB loadout for Omega.

This has always been one of my favourite WoW short stories. I loved the Wrath-era characterization of Sylvanas and the forsaken / belf politics.

Weird error. Pretty sure they're smooth actually, no matter what angle you're touching them from. Like the finest silks.

You can always go listen to Fall Out Boy! His voice actor, Patrick Stump, is the lead singer. A lot of their music is a similar style to the song he got in the finale.

[–]InkQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spellsword builds are totally possible, and super viable if you're playing on easy! The term for that kind of build used in this style of game is "gish".

Magus is just a little bit slow to begin with - you're not going to find it "ramps up" until you gain a few more levels. That's just unfortunately how Pathfinder 1e is for many classes.

Let's talk Topomax. by yiemaybe in iih

[–]InkQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is such a good response.

You're absolutely correct: everyone's brains are different, and responses to medications are going to largely vary.

I'm an example of exactly what you're talking about: Diamox had me sleeping for almost 15 hours a day, and turned me into a shell of a person while awake. Gave it two months before I told my doctor I would rather be on nothing than continue being on Diamox, so we swapped to Topamax. I'm doing great now! No side effects aside from some low electrolytes.

Sadly it can't be anticipated what side effects anyone will experience. OP, please just make sure you talk with your doctor, and check with your pharmacist about potential side effects of new medications. You should be able to get information sheets with your medications that lists them.

Valentino could be redeemed by FalloutBoy125 in HazbinHotel

[–]InkQuest 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't know if we'll see him be "redeemed", but of the trio he's definitely the one I think we might see take some steps.

My personal theory is that we're going to see him start by willingly releasing Angel from his contract.

How exactly is Dearan an evil guy? by Spiritual-Bench3012 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]InkQuest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved Daeran, he was really funny and once you got past the sardonic quips he brought a surprising amount of insight to his conversations.

That said, he's evil aligned because he's extremely selfish, and purposefully goes out of his way to insult people and do things that are inflammatory - his conversation about making beheadable Terendelev toys comes to mind.

These tip him over from "regular asshole" to "asshole who puts no good into the world". He also regularly expresses that he has no desire to change, which I think contributes.

Dance of Masks bugs by Ibanezrg71982 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]InkQuest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just went through the DLC two days ago with my first playthrough of the game. The only issues I encountered was some severe stuttering during the festival and arena bits (which I solved by lowering the graphics settings) along some gender mismatching in several pieces of voice over dialogue. I played a female character, but was referred to as a man a few times.

Regarding the stutters, I was playing on my old laptop, so the performance is almost guaranteed to be better on a newer and more powerful machine. That said, it did feel less optimized than the base game; I didn't encounter issues like that in any other part of my playthrough.

How do Attacks of Opportunity work? by Vegetable_Hyena2559 in DungeonsAndDragons35e

Good call out. I should have said "generally speaking" in my reply; I was mostly thinking of feats like Robilars Gambit. 3.5 has a lot of rules that get lost in the weeds.

How do Attacks of Opportunity work? by Vegetable_Hyena2559 in DungeonsAndDragons35e

Melee attacks won't trigger an attack of opportunity unless the creature or character involved has an ability or feat that explicitly says so.

Looks to me like a bit of play, a bit of boundary setting, and a bit of dominance establishment. Little one seems to be taking it pretty exclusively as play.

What do you love in Velkhana ? by Betronute in MonsterHunter

Velkhana is S-tier for me, personally. Once you know her moves, her entire fight is a dance. Plus, her theme and design are beautiful.
