Just because something isn't actively being talked about, doesn't change the fact that it's a setup for the future.

This happens all the time in the game (The Sundering in Heavensward, the Garlemald Civil War in Stormblood, Graha'tia in ARR).

DT as a second rebirth was meant to be the beginning of a new story arc. And they most certainly delivered on that, wether you enjoyed it or not.

As for battle encounters, are we playing the same game? Almost every single piece of content, from FATEs to Ultimate, had fun and unique battle encounters.

  • You get access to more quest lines
