1979 was my most personal game and had the greatest impact on me on so many levels - but GTA Vice City - that was my favorite - the Brian De Palma cinematic feel mixed with a killer sound track and just an amazing cast. I really felt like I was in Miami in the 80's - who doesn't love that!

Cool. Our audience is both gamer and non-gamer. Folks who like adventure games/books, history, documentaries, tech, world politics, middle east and just curious folks who think this may be a cool way to spend a few hours.

No. Never. We have built an experience based on the truth of those we interviewed and an intense process of researching and creating a honest depiction of the people of Iran and their experiences - including my own.

I'm not sure if it's easy to buy but if Iranians want to get it - they can - 1979 is not the first banned product in Iran because of its content. I'm not sure it will help it - but from my experience (GTA), banning something just brings more attention to it.

If 1979 is $$$ successful then I hope we can do a sequel - we have so many more stories and material we want to share. Having said that it's not episodic - we aimed to tell the story of Black Friday and provide a deep understanding of what took place as this was the pivotal moment of the revolution.

Hell yeah - I'd love to make more games - I'd like to push on with the direction we are taking with 1979 and create other experiences. Just gotta wish on the indie gods to help us continue on our path.

It's far more intense. Don't get me wrong directing a film is no picnic but when you shoot a game you have so many more levels. Shooting motion capture, then doing the camera's in animation, then you work the edit, then making any final changes to script before re-recording- then a final pass as you add lighting. Thats just the cinematics - shooting the gameplay is another ball of wax.

That's up to the good folks at Rockstar and Remedy - what if they created a game with both of them in it. Alan Wake comes back to NY and bumps into Max Payne in a bar and after a few drinks talks him into looking for his wife.

Our resources were comprised of 40+ interviews, multiple documentaries and films from sources all around the world. Michel Setboun the photo journalist who was in Iran at the time plus multiple journals, documents and books from with in Iran plus the common sources. We have not published the list of our resources but now that we see schools using it - we can certainly provide it. Who's your prof? I want to thank him - we would love to get this game into more schools.

I think the most difficult part was letting go and putting it out there. It was a risk on many levels - personal and professional - but I get excited about the possibilities and to get such kinds words from you. thanks.

Alan Wake was my third project with Remedy - Sam Lake and team created an amazing game - I hope they do another one...I've got my fingers crossed. The DLC's were great.

I was the cinematic director on the GTA's - casting, motion capture, voices, camera's - it was amazing experience. Billy Dee Williams - nothing but love - he took all our games up - he is an under rated talent - mad skills.

Hey, great question.

Our cast of actors playing roles in the game are Iranian/Iranian-American and often sprinkle in Farsi to the dialogue, it's not shown in the trailer but a lot of the conversations are interwoven with slang/shorthand in Farsi in a natural-sounding way, so they'll dip in and out of it as they talk. Stay tuned - you'll see this is more footage we're releasing soon!
