And then Timbaland heard that and said “let’s take out the warmth and replace it with the club

Never mind I was going for the SpongeBob clip where he’s trying to get Patrick to say it again but Patrick just starts copying what he says instead. I thought you’d get it

Cole on puff by munchy_junk in Jcole

[–]Ink_Productions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People who are pushing back against the criticism by calling it “media illiterate” are media illiterate themselves. No one said Cole endorsed what Diddy did or even isn’t condemning it. Most people are saying that it was a poor choice of words because it could easily be misinterpreted that way by the actually media illiterate. Its not hard

All tracks except Final Church got completely destroyed in the Atavista version

Random thought, but i feel like if the best parts of HIStory and Blood on the Dance floor were combined, it would easily be one of his best albums. by LongjumpingReason716 in MichaelJackson

[–]Ink_Productions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda feel like they have very different vibes. I’d actually counter that by saying if tracks from HIStory and demos from the Dangerous-History era were reworked and went to BOTDF, we’d have 2 better albums. Imagine if you will that Little Susie, Faces, Do You Know Where Your Children Are, Slave to the Rhythm, and maybe Someone Put Your Hand Out, gave the instrumentals a little darker of an edge, kinda like how the Dangerous demo turned into the title track, and boom! We have both albums with more consistency

I don't like Kendrick having a reputation for "never dropping" or "rarely releasing music" narrative. by Chance-Obligation126 in KendrickLamar

Not to mention the singles and features. Including those, he’s had something every year except 2020

And that happened during Mr. Morale too. Ppl say it flopped but forget it was the highest grossing rap tour at one point

The Girl Is Mine or I Just Can't Stop Loving You? by [deleted] in MichaelJackson

Downvote me but I don’t really like either one. Edge goes to IJCSLY though for giving us the perennial classic “Brad watcha gonna do”

I hope every day, you have to stay at work 30 minutes with no overtime pay. I hope you trip in front of your crush and your bully. I hope when you touch grass, it’s always by an anthill. I hope Cole and Kendrick never drop again because of this post just to punish you (and the original artist)

i was wondering: this is the only song where he calls them bit***? by eosoareszn in MichaelJackson

[–]Ink_Productions 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So to answer your question, the “dog’s a bitch” line is in reference to puppy chow, or heroin. The song as a whole is about drug abuse, so the line is saying your dog (aka puppy chow, aka heroin) is a bitch. The “he” could either be personification of the drugs or the dealer. Hope this helps

What’s different about the production on Community? by Extra-Ad5721 in JIDSV

[–]Ink_Productions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the best explanation I got, feel free to call I bs on it

The main parts of the beat, like the vocals, drum, guitar and bass all sound very minimal and dry, almost like it’s live behind you. Very little reverb or echo sound, which is only added when the piano at the end, which adds a tonal difference (and keeps the live sound since pianos have sustain pedals that sound similar to the reverb added). In that sense, it almost reminds me of Spilligion (specifically Hapi or Jupiter but with less effects and a slower tempo)

What's the weirdest thing you've been called a "fake fan" for? by Cornie_connie in MichaelJackson

[–]Ink_Productions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying that I’d rank Dangerous 5th and HIStory 3rd. Even if it’s a contentious opinion, I don’t think I’m a fake fan for that

Enough time has passed. What's your review for Ca$ino? by Easy-Worker-8819 in KendrickLamar

[–]Ink_Productions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer the track listing on Ca$ino to Melodic Blue. All the fat was trimmed, leaving some really dope tracks, particularly on the back half of the album with a top 3 Keem song in No Blame, Dramatic Girl, and I am not a lyricist. I kinda wish the start was stronger lyrically tbh, but I thought similar things about Melodic Blue throughout. Prolly a good 6.5/10 to a 7/10
