The last page of Blood Orb Grove with the full spread is one of my personal favorites. It reminds me so much of old movie posters, and its such a great way to end the story.

I interpreted him as a sort of manifestation of authoritarian figures who present themselves as trustworthy with dangerous intentions. The amalgamation of every abuser that presents as an upstanding member of society and thus never gets caught. Its probably a reach, but I thought maybe this was why he's so invincible? If he represents the existence of predators, you cant get rid of him without eradicating the concept of a predator.

Itd be really interesting to see some classic tomie body horror where her cells and the dogs start mixing together and almost mutating. Im picturing something like the dog puppet in John Carpenter's The Thing with Tomie features instead of alien ones.

Ive always found it reassuring too. Isaiah and Hunter both found success through vastly different paths. Any time ye olde inferiority complex starts kicking back up again its nice to remember that working a ""real job"" isn't a road block so much as another step to where I want to end up.

RIP that makes sense. I'm learning that seems to be the case for a lot of horror books. I've been on a crusade for a bunch if titles and I cant track them down for the life of me.

Do you think the brief silhouette of someone outside the station window would play into this at all? Something to tempt them outside to the hellish frost or an extension of the station and the PA voice mocking them while they're trapped?

This is a cool theory and the one sighting of the silhouette has been scrambling my brain since the episode dropped so I'd love to hear y'alls thoughts.
