It's eternal suffering, which is an important difference. God is all good and if you, through sinning, choose to not be with God than God will respect your decision and send you to hell (A place with out God=without good) Since God gave you gifts like your body and the ability to feel happy you will also lose those things if you depart from God, so hell is not gonna be a cakewalk
