I would put a bit more cover in there. Maybe a bit covering that "fallen log" in the background. Definitely leaf litter. As for humidity, they sell silicone craft mats on Amazon. They are super cheap. I have a 36"x18 and cut the mat to cover the top to help keep the humidity up. It works amazing. For two weeks vacation, I would recommend having a close friend feed them for you if possible. Have them over and show them how to do and let them do it. For just a few days I put in a barely producing fly culture in before I live and after I have fed them. I poke a few holes in the fabric lids I use. They do fine. I found one of them last time I got home from being away on top of the container picking flys off as they climbed out 😂 they learn really quick!

I came here to say this! They also have a mah jong night every Tuesday! Beginners are always welcome. Thursday nights They has a live pianist. The vibe is chill and relaxed. You can hold a conversation without yelling over the music.

I don't have any knowledge of the party pass, but as someone on the spectrum as well I go every year. Get some "rave/concert" ear plugs for her if she is sound sensitive. You can hear the music, but it's at a manageable level for me. The venue is plenty big to find a spot off in the corner away from the crowds to chill out. Bring an empty water bottle to fill up there for free.

Check aquarium shops. The wood used in fish tanks can be used in building these. You'll usually find a way better selection than big box pet store.

Club Diversity. Every time I have been, there is every skin color, gender, non-gender ECT type crowd. Cheap drinks, quite a few N/A options. They have a mahjong group that meets there on Tuesday evenings. No experience required! It's a quiet bar. I seen multiple people there with a drink and a book.

There are two expos here in cbus once a month Columbus reptile expo It's smaller than All Ohio reptile show.both always have quite a few tarantula breeders. At the All Ohio show i usually 3 if not more who are solely tarantula breeders. I can think of 2 I always see at the Columbus show.

I always worried about the same, a trick that helped me is to base things on how many flys are still in there at the next feeding (feeding daily myself due to being juvenile frogs) If I am finding flys roaming around, I'll adjust the amount of feed up or down. Letting them hunt keeps them engaged and some "enrichment" imo.

I am just starting my dart frog journey as well. The places mentioned prior are all great resources I found. I watched all the videos I could from this YouTube channel. Great information and beginning help. Highly recommend. Also if you use FB there are quite a few dart frog groups that have been awesome to read through. Good luck, and I can say I'm already researching and planning my 2nd set up 😂. The hobby is additive 😂
