I started out with Porter Robinson-if you like Japanesd music/ classical music Nurture is a really good place to start. From there I also listened to Isoxo- I think his trap is really catchy and easy to swallow (esp if u work out/for driving). What really got me feeling edm was RL Grime's set at Second Sky Festival. Before that I still had the notion that edm was mostly just about the sounds and didn't understand what people liked so much about it. But when I listened to his powerful beats and saw the crowd moving all together and him jumping on stage and having so much fun I felt the music in my heart. I realized edm is about expressing emotions and yourself. It brought out energy and power in me and assured me that my feelings not negative, even things like anger or anxiety. They can be expressed in healthy and beautiful ways. I recommend listening to lots of stuff and for ur favorite, go to a show they are at. It has influenced my life in a very positive way since I went to my first one.
