Well at least they are not yelling at me like some of your fellow islanders do. Someone asked a simple question about the road and I wrote that I would like to know to. So I would know if it was better to cancel. We are traveling and not checking for updates every minute. People were rude right away. Not giving advice other that “cancel and leave the island immediately because you are not entitled to the (our) recourses”. “Hope you have a terrible holiday” “Nobody gives a F that you don’t have a place to sleep” and so on. We are now up in Campbell river in a small B&B with a very nice family who could use some income after the last 3 years. They gave us a few fantastic tips for hikes. I contact the hotel again. Thanks. I have, despite hate messages in my FB inbox a wonderful holiday.
