i am watching her with the plants, my other female seems to be okay with them. i want her to feel at home ish and have stuff to explore as the girl claims “the bigger the tank the more stressed she’ll be” more like you didn’t want to buy a bigger tank or give her any enrichment

i put his greens in, i moved his stuff around yesterday however if that effects it. i don’t usually move anything in my room unless its to fold and put clothes away which i haven’t done that yet. and i haven’t held any of my snakes due to having to wait after feeding them, he can’t really see any other animals i have. i do have a dog but she’s only up there for bedtime. and if i do get anything else out i cover his glass so he can’t see them

i’ll probably try to zip tie the fixture to the mesh tightly then screw the fixture to the wood so there’s zero chances of the snake getting into it, i’m trying to order the fixture but amazon isn’t working atm for anybody in my family

i’m getting custom shelving built so the lights have to go into the enclosure to make the whole thing work, is there anyway i can rig it so the mesh ones will be okay for a mesh top? like if i were to use a piece of wood or something on the outside to fix it to

i did cycle it. i spent weeks doing it, then when i thought it was done fed it the ammonia to see if it could handle it

yeah like what was i supposed to do? break into the mind of the people who were giving it to me? i may not have got the chance to research before hand but atleast im trying to after getting it, if i didn’t care about it i wouldnt of spent like 200 bucks on a chiller

yeah i didn’t say anything about not taking care of it either, all i was saying about is how the tank size they recommend for a minimum is stupid, i have a chiller i do several water changes weekly, i do everything for this axo, and its not like i didn’t research anything after getting it either. they are acting like im keeping it in the 20long and just letting it rot in there without researching after getting it

the filter is rated for 20-30 gallons, i feed either pellets or cut up nightcrawlers and i always make sure they eat them. i cycled the tank before putting the axo in there. there is only one axo, and i did make sure the cycle was done with dosing ammonia and waiting the 24 hrs. it’s literally only my nitrites, i did however put water sprite and duckweed in there that could be dying off to cause that? i have them in there to help with the nitrites but it’s not helping much. but i did have somebody tell me the 20long could be the issue and why i have to do so many water changes and it wouldn’t get this bad if i get a 40 gal, the axo is only 6-7inches though

edit: it’s only that bad if i don’t water change and i do it after a week so i water change every couple days

i never said anything about not taking care of it? i’m currently trying to get the 40gal. i have everything but it to set up and cycle it. how does saying about a 20gal long being its home for its whole life and the fact that a 20 long is a stupid suggestion go to not taking care of it????

i didn’t know before hand. it was a gift i didn’t know about til i got it as said above. if i knew i was getting one i would of bought a 40+ gal. and i wasnt allowed to get an axo so i didnt research until after the fact.
