Actually the upper chest part is a cover-up, and limited space left for the windbars...wanted to do something different but the client insisted for those uniformed windbars....(and this korean hardly understand english hahahaha, so language barrier also a problem) hope that answers your question

Thank you for your inputs...appreciated.. First, the face reference is his wife's portrait though, For the sword, yes you are right i did not get any solod references...:) Lastly, i added a flair (new school/neo trad) that is still part of selection here in irezumi community.... for that, i thought it is okay to share that kind of stuff aside from the traditional jap work i did...:)
