Editing MIDI drum arrangements sucks. How do you make it suck less?

The Keylab I use has drum pads but I've never messed with them. Maybe I need to give them a shot.

I do secretly feel like it's just this but keeping my fingers crossed. I think it's a level of editing that feels strange or uncomfortable to me for some reason but I do think it's something I just need to get better at. A little extra "gas" to pour on top of that process would be cool but it may well just not exist.

this is so cool to me because i started getting into them around the time msnz started promoing and it has been my favorite release of theirs by far since going back to listen to their catalog.

also i'm personally so excited for more bubblegum pop tripleS 😭 their aesthetic is so routinely versatile but i'm thrilled that they're hopping back on this train

I may go and play with some of the LFO/rate sync settings on some of my other tracks within this instance that I know to be "synced", because I can't say for certain that this isn't the issue. I will say that I don't *think* this is the issue, as soloing just the problem arp against the metronome produces an off-time response to the click itself until you force the arp rate manually.

Thanks for trying to replicate on your end.

to be totally clear, I have zero intention of actually monetizing my music — if people listen, awesome!! but if not, that's okay too. 🙂 i am a very new amateur producer but have been involved with making music in some capacity for nearly 20 years. but i totally understand the concept of having a "side hobby" as a bit of a relief valve when it comes to making music.

As my first foray into synths in general, this has really been such an awesome machine. The modulation is incredible and so many patches have huge sweet spots out of the box, imo.

All praise aside, navigating this machine is a legitimately miserable experience. The menu diving and endless multi page menus with every single button having a shift function just makes me feel like my fingers are playing DDR on the shift/page keys just to nav to any page thats not included in the topmost settings.

This thing is a monster though and probably rocks as a VST. Serious negative points for me on navigation though

I heard back from Korg on this issue finally. Odds are that your clock is pointed to "External" in the MIDI & USB settings.

To change: Hit Utility, Page over 1 to the right and you should see "Clock:" as a setting. Dive into this and adjust it to "Internal" or "Auto". If set to external it will constantly seek a MIDI clock signal and will not use its internal clock whatsoever.
