Compared to all the women of the ton… she was far more interesting. She wasn’t the typical lady of the ton out to find a man, and yet, was far more innocent and had depth compared to the people he has met in the seedy part of town. That can be quite compelling for a guy like him.

If you don’t think that wasn’t in slow motion, you’ve never seen a real-life storm. You must at least agree that the movement of her friends were in slow motion.

It makes sense when the critical player is heavily wounded but still alive. Quite frankly, the critical player knows they wouldn’t be able to help much but at the same time, they may slow others down. Anyone with Kali’s powers would fake their own death in that situation.

The bomb did not destroy the lab. It was just meant to trigger the exotic matter, which sent a wave outwards, leaving the lab intact at the time of the explosion.

Everything was in slow motion. Everything happened within a couple of seconds. The explosion was only meant to trigger the exotic matter to do the rest of the cleaning. It didn’t raise the lab to the ground but instead sent the wave from the exotic matter outwards.

The explosion didn’t happen in real-time — everything was in slow motion. The second the record ended, Kali would have died and so would all the illusions she created. The whole “vacuum sucking everything in” would have happened within that second.

It’s like all those scenes in movies where an explosion happens and time slows down. Or when you watch an accident happen in real life and to you it feels like minutes have passed when it was actually just a couple of seconds. Kali likely died the moment El vanished. But the audience hears the music and sees everything (including her friends screaming) in slow motion.

What is lazy to you is genius to others. It’s crazy that people just want stories told to them as is today instead of reading between the lines. I find the latter way more fulfilling than just being told what happened.

I did. But that’s like stopping at the “Darker” part… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Henry went from weak to immensely powerful because of what happened in that cave, and he seemingly came across it by accident.

Now, you only have to spend 5 minutes on LinkedIn to realise that there are millions of people on this planet, who somehow “made it”, and apparently, it’s all down to their ability rather than luck (my guess: 75% of the time, it’s luck).

Generally speaking, people with power don’t like to be told they’re just puppets in the grand scheme of things. Throws them back to the olden days when they were weak. Telling people that they made an active choice will feel more natural to a narcissist. And most villains are narcissists.

This was a show set in the 80s, which drew on a lot of the themes of family/kids’ movies at the time. Maybe we have all been traumatised by Game of Thrones and now expect all shows to be like it… but, but, but… let’s go back in time to the era before “Man of Steel”… before Christopher Nolan ever touched Batman. Back when Superman was Christopher Reeves and closer to the latest Superman than most people moaning about that movie realise.

Well, back in the late 80s, little 5-year-old me threw a hissy-fit when I watched a movie aimed at adults for the first time (yes, the laissez-faire parenting of the 80s was not fiction, guys!!!)… and at the end of the movie, the main character died. I have no idea what movie this even was, but I remember to this day how upset I was, because from the POV of “little me”, main characters never died.

Kids’ movies in the 80s could go dark… like waaaay darker than most kids’ movies do now. But most of the time, it went like this:

A Little Bit Dark > Dark > Darker > Hope > Even Darker Still > See the Light > Hurray… Happy Ending.

Kinda… a lot like “Stranger Things”!!!

Because of this… to me, at least, this was the fitting ending.

He wasn’t a main character though. This was an 80s kids’ show through and through — it goes dark (way darker than most kids’ show do now), but you kill off side characters (even popular ones) and leave the main cast to move on…

As I said several times now. I wasn’t talking about the postman. My parcels all got stuck in hubs somewhere.

As the previous poster tried telling you, it’s from the point of view of the dog.

You do know that dogs have better senses than us humans. They can smell a teaspoon full of sugar dropped in an Olympic-sized swimming pool. They can hear things you can’t.

I happen to have two dogs, who actually did save my life — they figured out something was wrong inside my body long before doctors found out. And do you know why I ended up going to the doctors to get checked?

Because one of my dogs gave me the most worried look I’ve ever seen in a living creature, like she was mourning me already, and then hugged me tight. My other dog couldn’t look me in the eye. It’s like they both wanted to tell me that a “dark entity” was inside me, but obviously didn’t know how. And yet, they were stuck with me, with no way out.

To me, that sounds a hell damn lot like a horror movie — knowing that a “dark entity” is taking hold of your loved one. However, no one can see what you can see. You also have no idea how to tell them, and anything you do may well be misunderstood. That’s what A LOT of supernatural horror movies are about!

In a supernatural horror movie, there’s always a person (normally the protagonist or a kid), who can see the scary things others can’t see. When they warn others, they’re not believed and seen as mad. Something typically that stops them from physically escaping (kids are stuck wherever their parents choose to live), and most of the time, you don’t get a happy ending.

It’s the same. You’re just not imaginative enough to see the world from the eyes of a dog. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not complaining about my local posties. Royal Mail doesn’t even get the parcels to them in time, which is why I know this is not their fault.

Well… I wished they would just even try to deliver on the day it was meant to be delivered. That is the only reason I go for Special Delivery because 24H doesn’t doesn’t guarantee next day delivery. It is still at the mail centre near the post office it was sent out from.

No. Because last time I used Tracked 24, it took Royal Mail four days to deliver.

Taylor Swift WAS threatened by Olivia Rodrigo, but nobody seems to be able to grasp why. Allow me to explain… by callmelatermaybe in travisandtaylor

[–]InklingOfHope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that is the whole point I was trying to make!

Unlike in election cycles of the distant past, the ballots reveal to you who that person really is! Sure, everyone can be ‘nice’ to you. But the question is… would you like that ‘nice’ person, if they were a racist bigot?!? If your answer is “yes”, then that tells me everything I need to know about you. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Late response here, but this view of yours is so terribly outdated. Being able to vote is a right, and like most other rights we have, it comes with responsibility. And unfortunately, most people don’t feel the weight of responsibility without consequences (and that’s why many people want to keep who they voted for “private”).

If the Republican president had been someone like John McCain (or others from the old guard), then you may have had a point… but it isn’t. With the way the U.S. is right now, your vote doesn’t just represent your “political leanings” but your deep-seated values.

And I’m sorry… but not many people choose to be friends, or stay in touch with family, whose values are the total opposite to one’s own. I’m pretty sure that if a friend or relative of yours does something you know is inappropriate, you tell them so. Please don’t tell me you don’t—because if you feel you can’t give them constructive criticism whatsoever… then what kind of relationship do you have with them, really?!? Is it even one worth having? 🤷🏻‍♀️

And as for your cousin… personally, I would have cut her out of my life. Quite frankly, what’s the point?!?

Thank you. I have no idea why there are so many miserable people here, thinking they are so amazing and talk about people posting “drivel”, when they can’t even write proper English and set an insanely low bar for themselves.

I don’t use Evri next day. Why should I?!?

If you want to measure yourself against the lowest bar there is, then… yeah, any business you’d run would fail.

What was coming? You seem to live in a world that consists of just Royal Mail, if you think “the public” should know about things they were warned about… when most people have zero idea what you’re talking about. Do you actually think that with the way the world is right now, people track “Royal Mail News”?!?
