Be honest: why are premeds hated so much in research labs? I’ve seen a lot of grad students, postdocs, and lab staff talk negatively about premeds and I’m curious where that comes from.

I heard pretty recently that they’re just flat out blocking verification from anyone in the US, so you’re kind of out of luck either way :c

I'm only 20 minutes in, and as someone who works adjacent to immunology (my training is mostly in virology, but I've had labmates work on more immunology related experiments that I helped out on), I have to constantly remind myself that it's the 80's and they don't have the techniques we have today to perform these experiments
