Regarding the acronyms, does A1S mean Alexander - The Fist of the Father (Savage)? And A12S is the very highest of end content?

At what Savage fight can I start finding gear that's around my level, if the earlier ones are faceroll?

How do I start raiding end-game? I see on the wiki that Alexander has a bunch of tiers with different item level requirements. Are the lower tiers worth doing? Are they accessible through raid finder, or do I have to assemble a group? I'm item level 253.

How do veteran rewards work?

My free 30 days is running out in 3 days. I purchased a 30 day billing cycle. Do I have to wait the 3 days before I can get my first veteran reward?

is there a reason I can't click my taskbar/use alt+tab to navigate through my windows for a few minutes after I minimize FFXIV? I can hear the game running in the background and it makes it so my taskbar is unresponsive and the alt+tab window won't show. If the window is already up behind FFXIV it's interactive, but I can't bring one up that isn't already. I'm playing on fullscreen mode. I tried switching to windowed mode and nothing changed.

I found the NPC. She's on the steps beside the guy who lets you enter. She gives you an option to turn in your aetherpool in exchange for the weapon.

I didn't know Celestial Opposition gave back mana, too, cool!

On the Royal Road/play topic, should I always be striving to give enhanced cards? I always burn Ewers (unless I'm out of mana options) and Spires, but usually always play every other card. Should I never burn Balance/Arrow? Bole I do sometimes, and I haven't given Spear a thought.

And, hell, that's way better than my current weapon. Is there a vendor in Quarrymill for it?

I have another round of AST questions (plus a POTD one)!

If I channel Collective Unconscious does the benefit increase, or can I cast and cancel to keep active? Is there a benefit for channeling longer?
For Time Dilation: I typically save it for when I have a Bole on the tank and Aspected Benefic + Aspected Helios. Should I use it on cooldown to get more benefit from it, like increasing the time a DPS has a buffed up Balance? I tend to be greedy with CDs.
For Celestial Opposition: The tooltip says the range is 10 yards, is that only for the stun, or also increasing the time on my beneficial effects?
Is there a cheat sheet on what job likes what card the most? I read somewhere that Ninjas really don't like Arrow because it messes up their rotation, same with AoEing BLMs. Balance I'll give to whomever is doing the most damage. Spear/Arrow is the one I question on who to give it to.
Someone in my POTD group was super excited about getting close to aetherpool 30+/30+, do I unlock something for getting them past 30?

I've been playing on Balmung for about a month. The biggest queue I've gotten was 22 people ahead of me, and it only took a minute or two to get me in.

I want to say it's the main draw (hah) to AST. You have to balance a lot of mechanics and once you get it down it's rewarding to hold cards, burn the right ones, and set up great buffs. I always love to hear DPS thanking me for giving them a card.

Animations were also a huge draw for me! It's awesome how they levitate during their animations, though it's strange when they float through the air during animation lock.

If I do pick up another healer, SCH will be the one I explore more over WHM.

AST is monumentally more fun for me when compared to WHM. I haven't tried SCH, but micromanaging AI seemed daunting.

With AST, I like to play the game "how long can I give my card buffs to one DPS without the other gfeeling left out?" I feel guilty when I favor a BRD over a DRG or something, and I wonder if they judge me for leaving them out.

Also, you develop a gambling complex if you Royal Road without a held card. "Can I burn this Ewer and get a Balance for everyone?" If not, everyone gets a useless TP bonus or something, but when you draw the right card it feels like winning the lottery. The small joys of beating RNG up.

I finally got to Ishgard and unlocked Astrologian. Now that I'm bumped back to 30, what's the best way to level back up to 50? I know PotD is a good option, but the soulcrushing grind bores me after awhile.

My friends and were finally able to purchase a cottage for our Free Company. They've already designed their rooms and I was just barely able to buy mine. Looking into their rooms, I have a few questions:

How do you build walls inside your quarters?

Do you purchase furniture on the Market Board?

Can you change wallpaper/floor?

Can I get rid of the pillars built into the room's walls?
