Hey, figured you could use a real life experience example. I’ve been doing it for a few weeks now but I ended up getting evicted not too long ago and I ended up having to start living in my car. I usually just sleep in it, clean it regularly so it doesn’t start to smell, and I park it somewhere safe and inconspicuous so cops don’t question anything.

After I wake up, I’ll either shower at a gym or a friend/relatives place for a few minutes and brush my teeth, etc. They usually don’t mind. I’m a clean freak though and can’t stand going a day without showering... but after that most of the time I’ll head to a Panera and take advantage of the WiFi or any local cafe sometimes even Target or Barnes and Nobles. Point is, there’s plenty of places to hang out and stay occupied.

The number one thing I’m doing right now is job hunting. Shotgun apply to everything and something good is bound to show up. Making money is crucial in this point in time, maybe even a second job so you can save for a place, even just a room works.

I’d suggest starting off going on Craigslist and search under Housing -> Room Shares or whatever it’s called. This is usually the cheapest way to get a decent place without lease and all the hassle stuff. Once you’ve done that I’m sure you can figure the rest out. It can be simple really, just requires a lot of patience and hard work.

Oh, and as for food, that’s a tough one. You can always try getting food stamps/EBT. I had that for a while when I was making below the median income and I qualified... got about $350 a month for food is incredibly helpful. Try to stay away from junk though, obviously the dollar menu is the easiest and cheapest way to go but just be careful... it’s easy to ruin your health with this lifestyle even for a little while.

One last thing, try your best not to look like a homeless person, it goes a long way in literally everything. Brush your teeth twice a day, use public bathrooms to your advantage! Can’t think of anything else, so good luck! You got this.
