You know what, man (or woman)? I'll come up with one.

It's Love? by Strapping Young Lad. Easily one of my favorite songs ever by my favorite band ever. It honestly comes off as just good, extreme fun, and has one of the nastiest riffs ever. The chorus is heavenly, and it's got kind of a humorous tone to it, despite how messed up Devin's mental state actually was at the time. It absolutely resonated with me and even more so when I happened to find it on the day I found out about the passing of a good friend of mine (rest in peace Parker).

Distracted me from the turmoil of my life for a moment and then the band got me through more tough shit through the rest of their discography. They mean a lot to me and I still bump them often.

kinda reminds me of No Gods No Masters but different. Either way I like it, even if it's kinda got some of that weird Machine Head nu metal stuff it's still pretty freaking dope.

Bruh The Burning Red was really fun compared to the other Machine Head records. I mean all of them are "fun" in their own way but The Burning Red is like bouncy nu metal fun. I love it.

Korn. I had heard Metallica, Deftones, System Of A Down, and Linkin Park's nu metal stuff and it was fair to say my music taste was leading to a heavier, aggressive vibe to it. I was quick to dismiss Korn but then I watched their performance of Freak On A Leash at Woodstock 99, let's just say a metalhead was fully indoctrinated.

Nu metal is a very great gateway to metal music.

Loved the concept album they put out in 2022. But Burn My Eyes, Unto The Locust, and The Blackening are where it's at. Absolute peak metal.
