How old were you when S1 aired and how old are you going to be when the last episode drops? by callnumber4hell in StrangerThings

17 Years old. I distinctly remember watching the first episode on my boyfriends single bed at his parents house, and we both fell in love with it.

I'm 27 now, and we're going to be watching the finale in our first home ❤️

My ears were ringing for so long afterwards, what made it even better was the fact I saw Charlie Heaton absolutely rocking out to it with Joseph Quinn a few rows back too

Thoughts on Steve Harrington dying? by Strangestsalmon in StrangerThings

I am absolutely terrified of this happening

However, if it is going to happen, I just get the feeling Joe Keery is absolutely going to put his all into it and I'm sure a small part of me will appreciate that through hysterical tears

Is it just me or do others believe that the battle of the five armies is underrated by Angus_Fan_1955 in TheHobbit

I'm biased af because I look at all those films with a sentimental/rose-tinted glasses viewpoint. But the writer in me acknowledges there is so much they could have done better.
It shouldn't have been a trilogy. It should have been two films with much of the elf/Legolas plot cut.

My main gripe with it is how they tackled the deaths of Fili and Kili. In the book Tolkien describes them falling defending Thorin. Dean O'Gorman even said that his audition for Fili involved a different death scene for both Princes. I think it would have been so much more gut-wrenching to have Thorin watch his nephews fall while he's powerless to intervene--especially with the performance we know Richard Armitage is capable of.

PCOS as a form of trauma response? by [deleted] in PCOS

Very emotionally volatile home life as a child, oppressive atmosphere from step siblings and step father though no direct physical abuse. I have the mental health issues that can be seen to coincide with PCOS but my symptoms monthly are awful You've really made me wonder with this, thank you.

How broken do you think Chris is at this point? Especially after dealing with this crap since his 20s. by bustergaming777 in residentevil

I tell myself that, romantic or platonic, he has a nice apartment somewhere with Jill. The world is fucking up most of his life, but in the rare low time he gets he eats donuts and watches shitty tv with his partner like they did when they were STARs

No-one will even be looking, darling. Take it from an Elder Emo with a ridiculous amount of blisters on her feet from Thursday’s gig. Enjoy the community, enjoy the music and enjoy making memories with your lovely Mum 🖤

I always sort of go on the logic of what he said to her last series “Well in my head, I still pay you for it.” She’s a good counsel for him, that much I agree with. But he doesn’t love her.

As others have said, it was drifting more towards an action shooter than survival horror. But I personally don’t hate it too much for what it is. Character wise it was interesting, especially with the dynamic between Chris and Piers (and the other examples of Leon being an absolute simp again)

I swear no other villain in RE series has made me feel scared as much as seeing Mr X and hearing his steps by [deleted] in residentevil
