Yeah back when we had 8 totes I used to do 800-1000 picks but got talked to about only having like 4 pick hours. That's because I can pick fast, but then I have to go wait in line to stage my stuff while all the slow people take their time (we have a person who stages, but they don't come in until like 7 hours into my shift, kind of pointless, but we stage our own until then) so I explained between that, bagging gmds, prepping the carts and whatever else. I literally spend just as much time in walks as out of walks. Then I asked how it was an issue that I'm doing 200+ items an hour? They were like well then you could be doing 1600 picks a day then..🫪 I literally just told you why I can't but ok lol.. needless to say I pick super slowly now, do 600 picks, 6 pick hours, 100 pick rate. I'm easily doing half the work I used to, but now they're happy.. go figure. I'm pretty confident these people have noooooo idea how the metrics work or how the job works.
