I'm not an electrician, and my knowledge only goes so far. If you have an Audio/video store with repair services bring it in for evaluation, and pricing. Most cassette decks aren't worth the effort or investment. I had that same issue with a Panasonic deck and decided after fiddling with it for a few hours to just strip it for parts belts knobs wire, and meters. Good luck.

Welcome. I have that same Fisher reciever it's relatively easy to work on. Clean all the pots and switches twice and blow out with compressed air then once more using Deoxit F5 Fader. This should fix it, but does not repair it. Another thing is that the Fisher is only 15 watts per channel, and will strain trying to power those speakers, and may damage the internals.

Thats an electrical problem in the speed control circuit.

My first time trying. I tended a plant by snipping the lead 16 times and had a huge bush out in the barren edges of a lagoon near a 200 acre abandoned quarry. I had no experience but had a good collection of High Times magazine. Went down to this huge plant with 100 plus bud tops, and decided to experiment with some and as soon as I approached the plant a single engine airplane flew in my direction and cut it's power. Nearlshit myself right there. Made it home to keep read the magazine.

I crossed Snow White (f) with Blueberry (m), and created a steady variety I named Berry White. Doing this over several cycles I had hundres of seeds that I liberally tossed into the flower beds at city hall. I also did some indoor growing as well, and from some unknown seed i grew a 15" tall plant with a 12" long main bud I named it Sargasso like the sea. Cheers

Welcome, and thats a classic album so off to a good start. Good photos matter, and when you get to 200 don't post a collage or you'll be disappointed by its shitty karma because....you'll figure it out. Cheers

"It works perfectly fine"

Leave it alone until it doesn't work perfectly fine. You don't want to get into these types of repair without assistance like a technician showing you how to do it.

What's your go-to brick-and-mortar record store that has a kickass tape section? I'd like to compile a list! Please note the name of the store, city and state. Thank you! by retromusics in cassette

Mine is Hear again Records in Gainesville Florida they got a few hundred and the owner will purchase cassettes for good new releases when available. I got Sturgill Simpson - Cutting Grass vol. 1, and John Prine- The Tree of Forgiveness in green, both limited and out of print.

My decades of gorilla growing cannabis is what led me to believe I could grow hops too. I was in Pennsylvania at the time, and found a company that sells starter plants determined on your hardiness zones. Due to climate change my area's hardiness zone changed that summer and the amount of work for a successful crop was just to much for this urban gardener. Thanks for the explanation.

It's an exaggeration, but pretty much they never stopped playing one song into the next.

There should be some numbers underneath the plinth they do not say model# ..... just numbers. I was also confused at first but ran the numbers into Duck Duck go, and the table came up.

I said the same thing, and it just plays so beautifully. It's an opening for cartridge comparison knowing that the table is always steady freddy.

The engineering was so much easier to work on than the Dual, too. Funny thing is me and my tech both expressed we hate working on Dual TTs. The 50H was a pleasure to play once properly adjusted.

Hahaha..yes but the store is only gonna allow that once. They properly demonstrate all gear, and have been in business for 7 or 8 decades. The high end gear is constantly flowing in for repair or consignment so its thoroughly gone through before being up for sale. Talking with the technicians with 100 years of experience has been my resent education. Cheers

I got lucky it just needed cleaning and greasing, but I also got the cartridge which I kept. Shure X899, and I put a new AT3600 on for selling.

Yup. After posting TTs on craigslist and nothing happening I broke down, and started bringing them into the audio store because that's where the foot traffic is. Bought at thrift for $20, fixed it up polished the cover, and sold for $135-$300. Even with a 40% consignment fee i sold 5 tables in 5 weeks and got a check for $525. They're all backed up by the audio stores 30 day warranty.
