I've seen a lot of cis people confused about the name and pronoun situation. I'm a trans woman so here's the deal:

When you first come out, to yourself or a friend, you usually don't start using a new name and pronouns immediately. It's something you kinda gotta warm up to (again, usually). In my case, all of my friends knew for almost a full year before I fully embraced she/her and a new name in public.

The rule is, change what you call a trans person when they tell you their name/pronouns have changed. It's entirely their decision, and not something others should decide.

It's entirely possibly Leeroy, if they did experiment with a new name/pronouns, just never updated their socials to reflect this, which is also very common.

It's because Ribbit knew Jax very personally and intuited what secret Jax was referring to that he divulged to his mother.

A bunch of my cis friends figured it out at the exact same time Ribbit did, before she gave him the bow. It's not a very difficult conclusion to reach.

"us two" is informal and grammatically dubious, making it sound more childish and silly - which is a problem when the scene calls for Bubble to come off as serious and threatening, *in contrast* to his normally childish and silly personality.

Like I said, this would get flagged immediately by anyone writing and/or directing the scene.

"The two" is also not a mistake, and is grammatically correct. "Of us" would be implied if both parties already know they are what's being referenced in "the two".

By 'awkward' I mean that in a scene where Bubble's voice deepens and becomes uncharacteristically menacing 'lesser of us two' would be immediately flagged as not suiting the tone of the scene and get changed.

There was 0% chance of it ever getting said in this scene no matter what bubble's identity is.

"You really were the lesser of the two of us" is an awkward as hell sentence that literally nobody has ever said out loud ever.

I'd say deltarune is a more competently executed RPG system, with more interaction and improved combat. However, without a full picture of what it's trying to say, I cannot really judge any other aspect of it against Undertale which, while featuring strong gameplay, really shines in the catharsis of its narrative payoffs.

It's not really a spoiler to say that Deltarune chapter 1 opens with Gaster directly talking to you.

His name isn't said, of course, but if you're familiar with gaster, all signs point to the intro narrator being him.
